From those I would say close to 25/12

I would say close to 23/12. When T-Mac is back and healthy, he'll take around 5 shots away from Yao (I'm ok with that) so it's hard for Yao to get 25 or over.

i think he will have at least one year of 30+ and 12 rebounds. maybe a good year for a MVP.

i remember these type of threads from around when yao was drafted and his first year. i wish i could see a couple of those. i bet attitudes are a little more positive these days.

I agree with that, but I think he can still improve the rebounding a good bit. I'm going to say 25/13.5

    I'd say closer to 25/10.5....Elton Brand-esque numbers.

His rebounding, while much more consistent than before, has levelled off recently. Like I said many times before, people of Yao's stature tend to have trouble grabbing a ton of rebounds.

His offense/scoring, on the other hand, has the capability of skyrocketing once he reaches his prime.

25/10 would be the closest. 24/11 is what I think he will get in his prime which is a great all around number IMO. Don't forget, he needs to conserve energy for defense too. So its 24pts, 11RB, 3 Blks and 4 Assist.

The question is, when will he hit his prime? I'd say in 3 yrs when he turns 28. Don't big men reach their prime a lot earlier then the other players? Shaq is declining at age 32, but thats a prime age for most player and that 35 and over is when you start to decline.

Depends on what kind of players are put around him, get T-Mac back and say Jason Terry then 30/11 is realistic. If he is defended one on one he is unstoppable, he has had some monster games the past week and teams are throwing kitchen sink defenses at him. No telling what he could do with a decent team assembled around him that could take some of that defensive pressure off him.

I would like for him to be scoring 25 nightly while pulling down 11-13 boards a night and maybe 1.5-2 blocks a game. I would like T-Mac to be scoring 27+ with more assists than rebounds and 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals.

But more than anything, I would like our role players and "shooters" making their MOTHERF*CKING OPEN SHOTS.

    Thank you.

They won't, especially with JVG putting in a tight leash on them.

However, I am glad that Yao is getting more and more comfortable with double/triple teams. He figured out that it's more efficient for him to shoot the ball then let a wide open teammate lay bricks.

Wow, look at this pic, what a soft touch he has. Did he get a 2+1 for that play?

I voted for 28+14, I believe he can do that.

That is a fade-away on-hand jumper. Yao use is very seldomly, only when tripple teamed:(

Yao's rebounding number will probably never exceed 12-13. But he can probably score as many as 30-35 a game, given that his shooting will only improve as he gets older, and T-Mac's questionable back will force Yao to take more offensive responsibility.

When T-Mac comes back, Yao will again get more single coverage. Man, I can't wait to see the fireworks then.

I might suggest that in three years Yao Ming will start his prime period
35pts/gm and 13rbs/gm.This opinion is based upon the fact that I expect 24pts/gm and 10.5rbs/gm this season.
