I'm disgusted with Rockets top brass.

Like a lot of others here I was shocked when we got rid of DA an Jon Barry- and what seemed like really strange justifications ( and what was weird is only the Rockets felt that they were not going to contribute).

The next strange thing they do is to go for a Back Up point guard- which is Ok.

Then they waive Fitch. They watch the team within 10 points to Dallas and San Antonio- they understand fully that we dont have shooters and still we dont even hear of them wanting to do something about it.

Folks- this is it, we have officialy declared an end to this season. I hate to even believe this but to expect Bogans to step in for Tracy is to be consuming something a lot stronger than Kool Aid. Luther and Rafer are just not there offensively.

We have been had by the the big shots!

DOn't blame top brass blame Van Dummy he has the final say over CD who they pickup. ANd seriously it doesn't matter who we pick up, they will all underachieve under Van Dummy.

Guys if people miss wide open shots- there is NOTHING ANY coach can do. Despite Triple teams ( and because of her non-existent outside threat).

I do not defend Van gundy- but my criticism is more on his constant rants to media and some strange personnel moves. If we had atleast two shooters who are consistent- even at this late stage we can make the play offs- but I really am questioning if that would even be a smart thing to do.

Yeah I'm disgusted with the Rox top brass too. We need to trade T-Mac for Spree now!

Actually, the rest of the league agreed with the "strange justifications" for letting Barry go. You'll notice he hasn't picked up with another team.

You think the current losing streak is because we waived Fitch? What are we supposed to do after the trading deadline to get shooters? We went on a 14-4 run and were on our way to the playoffs before T-Mac got hurt.

Barry retired on his own. I think you are forgetting that Denver was interested ( and that is what Van Gundy's intial Justification was)

I cant help if you interpret things your way- waiving Fitch was meaningless if were not going to do something about the Shooting percentage and add shooters. Are you sgugesting there are no shooters who would want to be here for the rest of the season?

Actually there were few teams interested. It's Jon decided to retired.

So why would he retire if he thought he could still play then?

Name one shooter out there who we could sign for the rest of the season who would make a difference.

Barry and Mutumbo had this mutual silly
adoration of the Rocket organization and team..
and were quoted several times in the offseason,
stating things like, "only 1 more year, only with the Rockets,
or I retire or contemplate retiring"..

Apparently we tried to sign Tim Thomas - at least I hope we did, and he went with the Suns instead, and is shooting almost 50% from 2 and 3 pt land. 6' 10", appears like he would have made a pretty good SF.....

So why don't quality guys want to come here, or in some cases, we don't want them? It always seems to be a Gundy choice of a good defender over a good offensive player....

Tim Thomas was only intrested in going to the Suns.

Playing with Nash will make you look like a star, simple as that, ask Q. Richardson

Some teams are satisified to just make a profit. This organization has never released talent that could help us...just to save a few bucks.

This board was quite pleased with the moves we made last off-season, then with the seemingly insightful pick-ups...when we were winning.

We have 'top brass' that is committed to pursuing a Championship. It lacks omniscience and preminiscience, but I can normally except that from humans.

Exactly, Dawson and JVG can be accussed of a lot thing but not wanting to win is not one of them.

The FA signing during this last off season were considered great by the majority of the people on this board.

The Rafer trade had me scratching my head a little but I personally think it turned out well. Swift was extremely sought after and we landed him at a very low price. DA was supposed to give us some depth.

The Rafer move looks like the right move, Swift could still help this team long term. DA was a bust here, oh well take your losses.

If you wanna see teams that don't want to win go look at crap organizations like the Hawks

I still don't understand why JH is given that much playing time. Hu sucks big time.
With the season over, why don't he start Swift and gives him a lot of minutes. I know he is not consistent, but we need to find out how it will work. Let's try now that there is nothing to lose.
