Yao looked pretty down. Hope he doesn't take it too hard.

Good post. The Rockets are TERRIBLE at swinging the ball to the weak side. They need to run drills on this play:

    1. Pound ball into Yao. Yao gets doubled.
    2. Have Yao throw ball out.
    3. Swing ball to weak side.
    4. Dump ball into Yao for repost, or shoot a three.

The Lakers ran this play to perfection during their championship years. We need role players like Derek Fisher and Rick Fox who are lockdown defenders who can hit the three and not turn the ball over.

I don't think we "gave" anything away. Have you seen what type of team we have?

JVG agin doesn't instruct Alston, two touches for Yao in the third qtr. Bill Wporell was not telling the truth about this - it wasn't Dallas and its defence it was the fact that Alston kept swinging the ball away from Yao Ming.
ALSTON 6 for 14, ONLY 4 assists, 5 TOs--- NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR what is supposed to be a PLAYMAKER starting Point Guard.

Remember that the shots that Yao got fouled on don't count against his shot total and w/ as many foul shots as he took, it's a significant number

Sometimes I just wonder why they didnt pass Yao the ball whenever it's possible. I dont mean Yao has to shoot every time but he can create a decent shot for his teammates when he's double- or trible- teamed. It's not like Howard, Head, Bogans or Alston could create their own shots. One on one their shots were either blocked or turned the ball over.

Yep, and I am going to feel even worse when everyone burns him for 'disappearing' (I find it hard to believe that posters (well no, aposter in this thread) actually think that he 'disappears'.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said, but a point worth noting again is that Alston isn't a starting calibur PG, at least not in crunch time. The team is supposed to look to the PG spot for leadership and execution during stretches that count and Alston doesn't have the qualities needed to run the team during such times...

Meh, all the other points have been beaten to death. I feel so depressed :/...

What is really sad is that even with one our superstars playing at an extremely high level, we are no better than the portland trailbazers

Well, you've tried your best, you've given all you have, still can't help. Nobody won't feel down at this.

Wonder what JVG is thinking now looking at the crew he and Les built up.

I couldn't agree with you more but how could you leave out are championship teams. No one ran that offense better than the Hakeem and Rudy lead Rockets. Although the season is over JVG should look at some tape from those championship years. Everyone is too slow to move the ball and hesitating much when it comes to shooting the open jumper. Either shoot or pass it. But don't think about it. Can't Van Dummy see that.

Bogans has no right to shoot 2-12.
But what did you expect? When you have a guy who dumped by the worst team of NBA for your worst player playing 45 minutes.

Well, was so hard to be a ROWDIE tonight, from the start...they left.JTERRY open for 3's ...how many times have we seen that..would think JVG would learn. Then we have Juwan "THE 24-7" Howard guarding Dirk....(24-7 cuz the lane is always open with him)....Its frustrating as hell for me a fan, so I cant imagine what Yao is feeling. I rather him shoot the ball everytime down court than watch our offensive play HOT POTATO..and Build A House.

4 more loses left. (only 4 will get us 42-40)

so all those who are still hanging out for playoffs..just give it up unless u expect the rockets to go 13-4.

Notice how against Dallas Van Gundy was sitting on the bench for virtually the entire game?

That's when you know he's pretty much given up on the season.
