That's a pretty bad one alright. Do you have the rest of the picks in that draft? I'm wondering if maybe that was also the weakest overall draft ever. ------------------

Sam Bowie. He was picked #2 in 1984, one of the best drafts ever. He was picked in front of a couple of guys you might know- Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. ------------------ Come back Popeye!!!
heypartner, You now have two strikes in the DREAMer social miscue book. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
Thanks, Francis3. This draft does seem fairly lame. Where do you think it ranks as a whole? ------------------
I would put this probably as one of the worst drafts. Its not good. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris FAN CLUB
Hey, its not that bad...Elliott, Rice, Hardaway, Kemp, Divac, and Blaylock, all became bona fide starters. Ferry, Armstrong, Barros, and Anderson all had their moments. ------------------ Rockets fans wanted at hoopsboards.com Draft Chat, NBA Chat, Team Chat, and more!
Compared to other drafts, this is really bad. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris FAN CLUB
When did Danny Ferry have his moments?????? ------------------ CUT Tino Isn't it amazing how quickly everyone did a Cat Backflip!!!!!
1980 DRAFT First Round 1 GS Joe Barry Carroll Purdue ------------------ You just want to be on the side thats winning.
Ralph Sampson. The first Twin Towers should have been Akeem and Steve Stipanovich. ------------------
Randy White----wasn't he supposed to be the second coming of Karl Malone? Doug Smith out of Mizzou.....BAD! ------------------ HOOP-T Hey Shaq, Acme called, and they want their bricks back!
The 1986 Drug Draft was pretty bad as well. Number 2 pick Len Bias (never played in the NBA) has to be the biggest bust ever. Number 3 pick Chris Washburn might as well have never played. Number's 5 and 6 picks were Kenny Walker and William Bedford. There were a couple good players, but a ton of absolute busts. Here: http://www.nba.com/history/draft8687.html ------------------
Fiveleaf - Although Drexler was obviously a better player...McCray did his time, and was a good player for the time he was here....ok..your right... ------------------ In the end there will be no judges...only witnesses to my greatness.
At the time, it would have been a surprise to take Drexler ahead of McCray. McCray was a more complete player then. For the first few years of Drexler's NBA career, he was referred to as Rexler. No "D". ------------------
