So it sounds like Swift likes New Jersey, Vancouver, and Houston.

    rf34,

Is it just a perception, or is Swift one of the most coveted picks since Duncan?

SOunds to me like Swift just wants to play ball, which is good, for anyone except the Clips. Intersting to note that most of hte major mock drafts so far (ESPN, CNN/SI, etc) have MArtin/Mihm 1 and 2 followed by Swift (or Fizer). Not that those mean anything!

Yeah, if he likes Van, and doesn't have any problems with them like he does with LAC, Grizz would be crazy not to take him.

But here's an interesting hypothetical- let's say the Nets take Mihm. Who would Vancouver take? Martin or Swift? It is possible that Swift might pan out to be the better player, maybe. But Martin is going to make major contributions now. He would also be a perfect for the Grizz- he would add intensity and emotion and toughness that frankly they have been missing. If I was Vancouver, I'd take Martin over Swift- guaranteed big results now, this season.
Then he would drop to LAC, and everybody knows that he does not want to play for them.

What if people find that Martin is really 6'7"? (I don't know his true height, just taking an Elton Brand - Byron Houston angle)Swift could be drafted ahead of Martin. If Mihm goes #1 and Swift #2, Orlando would do its best to get the #3.

And then Martin could be drafted by the Clips, cool, Martin and Odom, what a great tandem.

Hmmmm. If he's bothering to fly to Vancouver and to NJ, who pick 1 and 2, he is probably looking for assurance that he will not go #3. That's probably it. If he is not certain, he won't enter the draft.

I still think he gets picked at #2 by Vancouver. He just fits their team too well.
