Hornets is now officially #8. We are only 2.5 games behind. If Yao continues his dominance, it is possible! Believe! :D

We'd also have to beat Utah and Sacramento, don't forget.

Sacramento is the real #8 because they will undoubtedly pass the NOOKs.

LOL you have to go to every thread from now on promoting your prediction and say "I told you so"? Freaking big deal. Barely above 500 and you need to brag about it? There are quite a lot of lakers forums where thousands of posters worshipping kobe. Maybe you would feel more comfortable there.

I think our biggest obstacle is the Queens. We are fortunate that Artest can't guard Yao, so we still have a chance. :)

Cassell, Clippers beat Bulls, end road losing streak

CHICAGO (AP) -- Sam Cassell showed again what a difference he has made on the Los Angeles Clippers.

Cassell scored 32 points and Elton Brand had 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Clippers over the Chicago Bulls 107-96 on Friday night.

Vladimir Radmanovic added 14 points for the Clippers, who snapped a five-game road losing streak.

Cassell carried the Clippers by scoring 20 of their 24 points during a stretch in the second and third quarters. Then in the fourth quarter, Cassell helped the Clippers pull away with back-to-back jumpers.

Brand attributes the Clippers' success to players like Cassell, a 13-year veteran.

"The big difference this year is having veterans with Sam and Cuttino (Mobley), we've got people who have been tested," Brand said. "They've been through it. That has really changed our team. Sam is a perfect example of that and especially today."

That's a bold prediction. If the current standings hold up, they'll be the 5th seed and will face either Dallas or San Antonio in the first round. I say it's extremely unlikely for the clippers to advance against either of these teams.

Wow, you really went out on limb with a bold statement there reggie ~ you've predicted what no one else thought possible.

Give yourself a cold beer and a hardy pat on the back.

I wouldn't declare San Antonio unbeatable yet considering the status of Tim Duncan.

Well, regardless of what happens to the Clips in the playoffs, I'm damn proud of those guys for the way they played this year.

If Clips play Dallas in 1st round, Clips will win.

    Dirk is heartless.
    Sam is all heart.
