Whoever is responsible for the team on the court with Yao Ming tonight should be fired. And, honestly, I don't know who that is. None of us really know how the decisions are made. But, this I do know, this bunch is less talented than the team last year, by a good margin. And it will be a travesty if the Rocket's "brain trust" doesn't come up with a better supporting cast next year. Last I heard basketball players who don't make baskets don't earn points and the team with the most points wins. This is unlikely to change.
Had we been winning before Tmac's most recent injury? Would we likely have defeated SAS if TMac played? Pls don't consider trying to join any 'brain trusts' soon.
Hmm whos responsible for that lineup on the court tonight? Thats a tough one... but if I had to guess... ITS GOD! FIRE GOD! Who else is ultimately responsible for T-mac being hurt all year! Who else is responsible for Sura being out all year! Who else fated Wesley to crack a rib last nite! Who's master plan included all this?! That master design left us with 3/5 of our lineup missing and 3/5 less talented! So its obvious... blame GOD!
No, you're wrong. Defense wins games. Hustle is more important than talent. Juwan Howard and Ryan Bowen are the 2 best players on our team.
Mrs. Juwan, I know you have to be loyal to your husband. But even that has to have its limitations. Please relocate.
The Rockets have not won a single game in their own division, not one. With or without TMac. Check out the Rockets record against the playoff teams in the league. As I wrote in another thread, the supporting cast without TMac or Ming can BEAT NO ONE, NADA. And they proved it. TMac and Ming are All Stars, two of the best players in the NBA. The supporting cast is very, very weak. THEY CAN'T SHOOT, have you noticed!
If Rockets have to rely on Yao and Tmac for EVERYTHING then this team is screwed, and yes, someone up there is doing a poor job. Even Shaq/Kobe had help.
Zboy, you are premature in calling me "Mrs. Juwan." However, your wish that we relocate will come true this offseason as Juwan, Ryan, and I will move to the Netherlands to be joined in our polygamous gay marriage. Signed, JVG
Rudy T new GM? I think Rudy T would be an awesome GM. He was basically responsible for drafting cassell, horry and mobley. As soon as CD goes, Rudy comes in.
At the begining of the season, after CD successfully :- (1) Traded MJ for Rafer, a pass first and shoot second PG (2) Grab Swift at MLE (3) Signed DA for league minimun.... Most of the posters here claimed CD should be the GM of the year even before the season started. I remembered there was a thread grading the GM around the league before the season started, the writer gave CD a grade less A/B(couldnt recall the actual grade), the whole board flamed the writer, callin him an idiot, a moron blah blah blah.... Now, most of the posters thinks CD is worthless, didnt do anything to help the team...... talkin about how things here change so fast..........
LOL Talk about hitting the nail on the head! (err... is that how the quote goes?) Anyways... this great response deserves its own thread! and a BIG WORD !
Not a bad choice but is he ready to come back to the tussle of being an NBA headcoach? Anyway, I am too down now to think clearly - may adding a few good/healthy players could do the trick especially with the way Yao has progressed lately.
Yeah, let's hire the magical fantasy coach that can win games starting Luther Head and Keith Bogans and having Ryan Bowen in the 8 man rotation.
I agree even if CD was still on the bench next to Rudy when we got Clyde I think CD has done what Les has asked him too.. TRADE TO WIN not trade to win for the future..
Earlier in the season, I ran into Rudy T at the TC and I asked him if he'd ever coach again and he said no, quickly and without hesitation, so unless he has a major change of heart I don't think so. However, I would love for Rudy to re join our scouting team, Rudy has always had a great eye for undiscovered talent.
The last time the rockets won a playoff series was in 1997 when they beat the Sonics 4-3. Since than the rockets are one of only eight teams (Cleveland, Orlando, Denver, Clippers, Memphis, NOK, and GS) that have not won a playoff series. Maybe it is time for Dawson to step down!!
