It was Allen Ray. I didn't see it, or really hear it (I wasn't paying attention), but it's apparently extremely serious and I really hope he's okay.

He's arguably their best player (although Foye is probably better), but I really, really hope he's okay.

Well, from what I saw...his eye was out of socket.

Where as someone naturally blinks very hard when they get their eye poked, it appeared as though he had his eye about as wide open as possible, so obviously something structural was amiss.

Mark Jones: "Allen Ray was taken away in an ambulance for further evaluation".

The commentators said that the doctors bandaged up his eye.

They just said that within 2 or 3 seconds of Ray getting hurt, a doctor yelled, "Get a stretcher over here!".

I'm glad I didn't see this. Apparently, it was so bad that ESPN wouldn't even show the replay. I mean, we see replay after replay after replay of dude's shattering their legs, and they won't show this?

    Wow. I hope he's OK. :(

Which means it's going to be all over the internet and everyone is going to be asking for the video.

I wasn't watching this or anything, but reading this thread, oh man ... that is seriously terrible... I just cringe thinking about it.

ESPN just said that there doensnt seem to be any severe damage. That's great news.

I am watching ESPN and Ray's grandfather spoke to an ESPN reporter and the grandfather is saying that the eye injury is not serious.

While the definition of "serious" is subjective, I assume that "not serious" means that there will not be any vision loss nor will it be career-ending. At least that is my hope.

    My prayers are with him

Here's a screen cap from another board. Not good quality, obviously, but it's clear that something is wrong. You should NOT be able to see this much of someone's eye from a SIDE view.

ESPN did show at least one replay because each time they showed it I noticed the "white of his eye" showing. I just hoped it was something with his eyelid not closing, rather than actual eye damage. Seems like all reports are good thus far. I really would hate to see Nova have to continue without him, but more importantly, i'd hate to see him lose some of his sight due to a freak injury.
