Prince ripped it up with the guitar on SNL a few weeks ago too. Youtube took that one down though. :(

Is this the vid of the rock and roll induction?

If it is, it's amazing! Prince lets loose! Incredible. Watch everyone on stage. They just kind of stop playing just to watch him.

Waiting for that video is like being on dial-up. I gave up on it :(

If anyone finds a faster download of it, post it.

Is Prince really playing that solo or was it the guy on Jeff Lynne's left? There were a couple of moments when he stops playing but the lead guitar keeps on going.

    Ok, finally watched it.

It's Ok, but not even in the same ballpark as Eric Clapton's solo on the Concert For George DVD.

Never saw anyone stop playing to watch Prince. Sorry but it wasn't all that great IMHO.

Prince was tearing it up on guitar at the Tamar show last Saturday. He was playing alot of blues and just flat out shredding during the pop funk tunes. Definitely one of the best shows I've seen in a long time.

Speaking of Jeff Lynne...I wish ELO would tour again.

thanks for posting that - i had never seen it before.

prince is such a shredder. he tore it up on snl a few weeks ago too. ive seen him live and not only is he an amazing guitarist, but than he can jump on the drums, keys and bass and he is a total bad ass on everything.

George Harrison's son actually stops to watch Prince, and is obviously impressed.

I thought he did a great job. I don't think Prince is Eric Clapton, but it was a great solo.

    I don't.

First, and hopefully last, lip-synched concert I ever saw.
