Yeah that SFA game over the weekend was exciting but too bad we couldn't pull out the win at the last second. I have to go to College Station for my sister's engagement party tomorrow night or else I would be at the game. Oh well, hopefully the Kats will win and we will be on ESPN2 on Sunday for the championship game.

I honestly kinda think SFA or Sam Houston will win this tourney. Northwestern's good, but they've had sooooo many close games this year and won them all. Even last night, UT-SA was horrible this year and they were within 1 with 7 minutes to play. I feel like they're due to lose one of these.

Plus, the last time Lamar played Northwestern, Lamar's leading scorer (Alan Daniels) scored only 4 points (averages 23), the second leading scorer left with a torn ACL, the backcourt turned it over all over the place... and Lamar was still within 6 with three to go. Lamar has a shot. Northwestern doesn't put away too many teams, and I'm thinking it catches up with them one of the next two games...

I just got back from the SFA-SHSU game. The refs made some very bad calls on SFA. Overall I enjoyed the game, it was intense from start to finish. I just didnt like the outcome of the game.

Good last effort by the Kats, but Northwestern gets the bid. Another 20 win season for SHSU. I just wonder how much longer we're going to get to hold on to Coach Marlin. He has done a hell of a job since taking over.

Congrats to Northwestern... they proved me wrong and should be an excellent representative of the conference. If they get the right matchup, they could be dangerous as a 13 or so...

    SHHHHHHHH....

Tough loss today but NW was the better team. I thought the game was over when we were down by 9 and I was about to switch over to the Rockets when we hit those 2 3's right in a row to get within 3.

We played hard but the stupid turnovers killed us. Some of those passes really made me scratch my head.

The good news for Bearkat fans is that we only had 1 senior in our starting lineup, so basically the whole team will be back next year. NW, on the other hand, had 4 seniors in their starting lineup and it showed today.

Congrats again to Northwestern State. Represent the Southland well!

Sam had a good run! Oh well!

One good thing though is that the Southland conference is starting to get a little respect! Northwestern is a 14th seed. Not bad for the conference.
