Here's the scoop: AMES, Iowa (Reuters) - After winning the Big 12 scoring title the last two years, Iowa State's All-American forward Marcus Fizer said Monday that he is probably headed to the NBA. At a news conference on campus, Fizer said he will forgo his final year of college eligibility and enter the draft, although he left the door open for a possible return. "With the support of my coach and family, I will fulfil a dream of mine and enter the NBA draft," Fizer said. "I do reserve the right to change my mind and return if it furthers my draft status next year." Fizer can return to Iowa State only if he does not sign with an agent before the June 28 draft. Fizer was named the Big 12 Player of the Year in 1999-2000, averaging 22.8 points and 7.8 rebounds. Considered the second-best college forward behind Cincinnati senior Kenyon Martin, Fizer likely is a lottery selection. "Everyone wants to be one of the high picks," Fizer said. "I've worked very hard these last three years." The 6-foot-8 (2.03 meters), 265 pound (120 kg) forward provided the inside muscle on a team that won the Big 12 regular season championship and conference tournament title and advanced to the regional finals of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. Iowa State (32-5) lost to eventual national champion Michigan State 75-64 in the Midwest Region final. Fizer scored 15 points but shot just 4-of-15 from the field. Fizer becomes the ninth underclassmen to declare, joining a group that includes guards Khalid El-Amin of Connecticut, Erick Barkley of St. John's and DerMarr Johnson of Cincinnati. ------------------
