being Jet Li's final martial arts epic, i expected a lot from this movie, and i was not disappointed. from beginning to end, it was action filled, but also had a relatively good story. main plot seemed like a cross between the last samuri and fist of legend. the ending was exceptionally good, and jet li definately went out with a bang. he will be missed.
i dont think this is his last movie, i already saw that he is doing a movie with Nadine Velazquez from "My Name is Earl". http://www.darkhorizons.com/news06/060301g.php
I think he carefully worded it like "last epic"... for example, the Once Upon a Time in China type movies are epics... I think stuff like "Unleashed" don't really count.
Wait... actually the real question is this... I've been itching to get my hands on this movie... where did you see it?
Jet Li is da man. i saw sum footage of him when he was a kid, the guy got sum fast hands and still does.
one more thing, i am glad he finally ditched that fat slob joel silver. the guy was putting jet in movies with rappers. cradle to the grave was a piece of shyt. fukin DMX had more screen time then jet which was bullcrap. i didnt pay to see dmx;s bad acting.
not to mention about "Battle of the Red Cliff", a movie about one of the famous battles in Chinese history where an allied force of 50,000 defeated a larger army of 200,000 (unfortunately that figure was exaggerated to 830,000 in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms)
