Hey Hakeem06, aren't you forgetting the Amare quotes were he takes digs at Starbury's work ethic after the trade?

Where are you getting your inside knowledge from, by the way? I certainly don't get mine from TV personalities, and yes, I did know about Stephon's charitable nature (though it helps when you're in the highest tax bracket and you can declare almost all the charity as write offs). I think Stephon does right by his community. I also believe he's been chummy in most of the locker rooms he's been in - but he's also a coach killer and isn't much of a role model for his teammates.

I remember on one of the first shows of Quite Frankly Steven A had him on and was kind of on his nuts. Maybe he was just excited about his show. On a side note I remember Scrubbary saying how he is better than Nash. What a Jive Turkey that Stephon is

Feigen repeats the information here: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/3701679.html. Of course, I don't know if he did any fact-checking or if he's taking Smith at his word.

Great! This is also the Stephon Marbury who got traded three times, and each time, his former team immediately became a contender in their perspective conferences, right? This is also the Marbury who got into a feud with at least one player of each team he played on < KG(Minn), Van Horn(NJ), Amare Stoudamire(Pho), Q Richardson(NY)>, right? This is also the Marbury who calls himself "Starbury", right? This is also the Marbury who barked at the Rockets bench "I should be an allstar", right?...

I might be a little confused here. Maybe you are right, he's a great player and a good guy.

We dont really know Starbury so its tough to make real judgements but quotes from former team members is pretty telling. I remember quotes from Amare / Marion grumbling that they dont get the ball because he hogs it.
