Was anyone else impressed with Tinsley?

Not having seen much college ball this year, I was impressed by Fizer, as I expected to be. But the guy that I had heard a little about that really impressed me was Tinsley. I know people will point out that we have Steve and Drew and Moochie and why am I wasting space on a point guard? It probably is a waste of space, but can anyone tell me how big he is and how old he is? He may be a little older than most seniors, since he didn't finish high school, and it sounded liked he kicked around a few years before getting in jr. college. He was out of control a few times, but he can really handle the ball and dish.

I also liked what I saw of Moiso. I think he definately should be considered by the Rockets.

Again, if anyone can provide any info on Tinsley, I would appreciate it. If Drew gets moved, which I think is likely, Tinsley looks real.

Moiso has very good skills on both ends. He is light though, at 6' 10 or 11 & maybe 225. He will have to bulk up because his game and size make 4 his natural position. Hopefully our pick will be too good to use on Moiso, he seems like a late lottery pick to me. If we could get him with a second pick we have then we are talking.

Tinsely has some great talent. He looks like an ideal 2 round pick. If he develops a great outside shot he could be devastating (e.g., like KJ, Isiah), but most super penetrating 6’ 2” or so guards in his mold (Wayne Turner, Sherman Douglass) don't do that much in the pros (anybody remember the ultimate case of this in Pearl Washington??).

Turner was the point guard on the Kentucky teams from like 96-98. Great penitrator, set up man and finisher, just can't shoot. I think he went in the 2nd round last year or was undrafted. I did just think of an exception to my theory. Andre Miller looks in the basic mold but looks like he will be a good pro, of course Miller has a rock solid 6' 3" frame to go with his quickness and floor sense, not sure Tinsley does. Tinsley will have to become a very good if not oustanding shooter to make it in the pros.

Thru the ESPN site, I got to a scouting report on Tinsley. He is listed at 6'3" 175 lbs and a junior. I thought I heard during the game he was a senior. The scouting report in a thumbnail said he is a great penetrator and passer, and a good defender, but an inconsistent perimeter shooter.

Sir, I do remember Pearl Washington. Do you remember a PG that came out early from a Southern school, I think like Alabama or Georgia named Ennis Watley?

We have to get this guy or maybe Eddie House of Arizona to continue our pentrating guard dominance.

Fear not of the a consistent outside shot, isn't that what Mobley is? A penetrator? [IMG]

Man he just burned Watson like hot knife through butter and Watson is one of the better guards in the league.

A big time draft site has tried to stunt our growth, but we will succeed!

The little draft site that could!

I was very dissapointed in Tinsley's effort the last 10 minutes of the game. It seemed like only Nurse and Fizer were trying to step up. Tinsley, as a point guard, needed to take charge and preserve the lead. Too bad for ISU he didn't.

As far as Enis Watley, I didn't know anything about his college days. He was in the NBA a while though, mostly as a back-up (I think he played for Atl some).
