Mimh and Swift battle each other. See how well they do. The battle of the big frontlines. [This message has been edited by rocketsfan34 (edited March 18, 2000).]
Chris Mihm has failed to impress me since his freshman year. He just struggles too much to establish good low post position. That is by far his biggest weakness. Scouts are quick to praise his footwork, but I just don't see what is so special. He has sound, fundamental footwork. But his moves are not concise and quick. He shuffled his feet twice in today's game when he lost his balance making a move against the strong bump and grind play of Jarbari Smith. Needs to bulk up. I have a gut feeling Mihm is going to stay another year and it is probably best for him. Swift looked good. Showcased his dazzling athleticism. Excellent quick leaping ability and timing. Needs to play with more intensity and work on his stamina. Better free throw shooting wouldn't hurt either. Needs a go-to move down low. Adding some pounds would help him big time. Like Mihm, has a rough time getting good low post position. But he reminds me big time of Shawn Kemp. Their similarities are scary. ------------------
Swift defintely needs to add some pounds, he looks like a toothpick out there. What's your email btw? Send me a email if u don't want others to know.
I take back what I said about Swift. He looked really good today and played a well game. He doesnt really need to gain weight. This kid reminds me of Kevin Garnett. I wouldnt mind drafting him at all. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris FAN CLUB
Francis3, Just for the sake of asking. If the Rockets had the chance to chose between K Martin going through rehab and S Swift, would you still tell them to take K Martin? Mango ------------------ It could be worse ....... you could have been born a Jazz fan!!!!
Texas basketball reminds me of the Houston Oilers. They both suck. I can't offend any Longhorns cause I am a Longhorn. We suck. That's it. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Smokey (edited March 18, 2000).]
Hey Smokey, don't feel bad about UT's loss. They lost to a good team fair and square. I know it hurts to see your team lose, but atleast LSU earned a win. What I'm getting at is Oklahoma got robbed today on a phantom foul against Purdue when a Purdue player fell down and acted as if he got fouled while shooting a 3. He hit 3 free throws and Purdue basically stole the game. I know you may think I'm biased but the announcer nipped it in the bud and said there was no foul and the replay clearly states that. So don't feel down on UT's loss. UT had a good year and has a bright future. I would feel much worse if I were a UT fan knowing UT was supposed to and should have won their game, but they weren't. LSU was a higher seed and they won. Had UT and OU won, we probably would have seen a 4th OU-UT match up for a trip to the Final Four. I feel really sad for both schools. Francis3, that is exactly what i was gonna say. swift seems like a very raw kevin garnett. I don't know if he can handle the ball though. I think swift is a top 5 pick, i was very impressed. He dominated mihm (though chris was sick). He also had a much better perimeter game then i thought. he hit a couple of 3's. ------------------ "Don't they get cable in Canada ?"
