Several Rockets players need to share the blame for the loss. Down the stretch: - Yao missed two contested fadeaway/turnaround jumpers (balls were in-and-out of the rim, you could say unlucky) at the baseline and one wide open 18-footer. Had one shot blocked (too far away from the basket to be called goaltending) and one stripped ball (could be called a foul). - TMac settled for a quick 3-pointer and missed, which led to a fastbreak for the Sixers at the other end. He also had a costly turnover several possessions later. - Wesley missed two wide open 3s (he was hacked illegally by a Sixer bench while shooting another 3). On the other hand, Iverson was playing like a man possessed -- nobody could stop him.
When rockets needed 3-pointer shooters for the playoff chase, they waived their best shooter as Jon Barry. They were giving up this season from now..
we are bad team, this is it! no one can make 3 pointer and those damn 3 pointer are sssssssssso wide open! come one! they are wide open! later on, guards just afrad to shoot the ball. I can not believe my eyes!
Even if the LAKERS keeps on losing THE KINGS has a better shot getting in than we do, they just beat Cleveland They have one 7 of last 10 and have been playing good since Artest Lakers 29-29 Sac 27-30 Utah 27-30 Minn 25-32 Hou 25-33
I don't see a clear direction of this team -- uptempo game or half court offense? Shooters or defenders? Make up your mind, Mr. Gundy!
Very disappointing. The Rockets shooting sucked as usual, but, overall, they played a decent game. Ming played well, but faded in the end. TMac had his moments but still doesn't look "fully present." Chuck Hayes quietly had a good game. Iverson just outplayed everybody. Philly was getting some seriously deep penetration, they were like eight feet from the basket most of the game. Not one the Rockets best defensive efforts. The season is fading away.
Agreed. It's likely the Kings will finish ahead of the Lakers. They should be our target for the 8th seed. The Lakers are running on less fumes than we are.
Tmac could learn a lot from Iverson about how pressure on the offensive end leads to points. Iverson is constant pressure on the defense, it is amazing. His will is wild. DD
Hayes in in the 2nd quarter, we come back about 8 pts and then take the lead. Hayes in the 4th we hang tough and I thought built a small lead. Juwon back in both times? 82games.com never play ryan bowen again!
That's why I love watching him. He is a one of a kind player in NBA history as far as I'm concerned. His doesn't always make the right plays in the clutch (he did tonight), but nobody can question his heart, will and desire to win every game at all cost.
The game was close enough to where if we would of made some of those WIDE open shots, we wouldn't have to rely on "heart", just good basketball would have done the job tonight.
Did you HONESTLY ever see anyone argue that Cat is worse than DW? It's a given, Mobley would be GREAT pieace on this team...the SG we need.
