We wouldn't be in the game if not for our two stars. Both had one bad possession in the clutch, but that does not mean you go away from them. I'd rather have Tracy and Yao in the clutch every single time rather than have Wesley try to pull that stupid stunt of his (he didn't even wait for the stars to get involved in the play :/ )...
He can go home and watch his boy Kobe play now Man, I haven't felt this $hitty since the Laker loss a few weeks back. This was a must win against an average team in our building. Freaking sickening!
Notes: Yao was like one rebound away from being a legitimate 20/10 guy for the 1st time in his career and he had no fouls the last time I checked. His progress since returning is amazing.
Wow! I didn't realize until now how bad our D was all game long However, I did realize how bad our shooting was all game long Yah, now the Lakers have to lose ten games in a row just for us to have a chance in hell at making the playoffs.
man gotta give it up to AI...he willed the sixers to a win, that guy is incredible. Don't knock the Rockets on this one, they played great...AI just wasn't gonna lose tonight.
LOL! Who has the personality of a Jeff Kent on this team? Man, this is a team of a bunch of nice guys...our guys are choir boys for God's sake, they don't have it in them.
Did you guys notice only Yao make effort trying to foul someone? He chases all the way back, while the quicker guards are all standing.
Yao only grabbed two rebounds in the last quarter. When he grabbed several in the 3rd the Rocks went on a tear. Maybe an indication of his energy levels?
If Lakers and NO don't lose today, then probably we are done with playoff race. our best 3 pointer is gone!
man alston was iversons biatch this game......tmac actually had a decent game considering the past month his play wasnt great, he got wesley 2 WIDE OPEN 3's cuz he was doubled and wes missed them both, wes and alston shot 8 for 29 or so that is horrible that lose hurt but atleast the lakers are getting beat and utah loss
He was visibly tired well before the game was over. If anything, Yao toughened it out and played through it. But yes, he was visibly fatigued. That will always be the ultimate dilemma for this team. Fans always b**** about how we should "run, and run, and run", but you put Yao into the equation, and running is going to basically make him a non-factor in the Rockets' plans. The mere presence of Yao on this team forces us to be a half-court team, and that's usually how the entire system is built anyways. The only thing missing from that system are shooters...We're trying rebuild the 1995 Rockets but are unable to find the Mario Elies, the Kenny Smiths, and the Sam Cassells (as well as the Robert Horrys) to capitalize on the enormous attention our two stars demand on the court. Did you watch the game tonight? Every shot taken by DW and Alston and Bogans were WIDE-OPEN. No excuse not making those shots, these guys are guards, and our guards MUST be able to shoot and do it well...that's the only way this team thrives (see late last season when everyone was making their shots and we went on a tear)
This game basically came down to our role players making SOME damn shots. They shoot a slightly higher percentage and this game is ours. Unfortunately, JVG doesn't believe in keeping shooters around.
