    Sorry it took me so long to answer you back....

    Yep. The one I have simply fits into a headphone jack, and then transmits that signal through your radio. It's generally what you'd expect - about radio quality. On the package, it said it'd work with any mp3 player, cd player, etc.

    A buddy at work just got a Creative Zen, and it is pretty damn nice. Can play and record FM and videos and all kinds of music formats.... I think Apple is going to contiunally lose iPod sales to these competitors that are offering "all in one" devices that doesn't limit the formats that you can upload. Obviously Apple has a firm grip on the market so it will take some time, but it will happen.

    the one that comes with it is terrible. I am looking for one myself. I probably will go to Circuit City and check them out. It seems they had a good variety. But at this site, the Jam case seems like it would be perfect.

    Thanks i appreciate the help. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as wireless headphones (it would really help while working out) that can be used with personal cd players, mp3's, etc?

    just made an order for an iaudio G3 1 gig.

    50hrs on AA batts, 95 dB SNR.

    about 12 bucks more expensive than my next choice. iriver t30. but i might go check out the iriver anyway and see if i want to buy it for my sis.

    Logitech makes some that you can find here. But the iPod Video is not supported.

    They are 49.95 after rebate at this site.

    If anyone is in the market for the 30GB Creative Zen Vision M, I bought one for $249.00 at www.crutchfield.com . That price is a killer deal and this thing totally beats Ipod. The cheapest I have seen it anywhere else is $329.00.

    Just put in the coupon code PA440 to get $50 off from $299.

    just thought i'd update on my purchase.

    got myself an iaudio g3 1gig flash player. been using it for 5 days now and i am loving it. its solid and compact, but the shape would've been greatly improved if it was oblong, instead of squarish. and the color is kind of girly too. white face with blue sides. and the display isnt too impressive. does the info job i guess. but those surfacy things arent important to me.

    the good stuff;
    the audio is good. its supposed to be 95dB, but i have no way to verify it. sound stays constant during one of my runs. havent changed the battery yet, its advertised to be able to handle 50 hrs. unit also works well in temp of minus 10 celcius.
    the voice recorder is pretty nifty. cant imagine myself ever using it, but its a nice feature. havent tried the in-line recording yet. FM radio is nice. the music folder is easy to use, and its supposed to work like a windows explorer folder, so i can hook it up to any computer and download songs. a big plus over my next choice, the iriver t10/30.

    the bad;
    my ears are too small for north american earphone plugs! lol. i might need one of those dj behing-the-head earphones. the earplugs kind of feel strange in my ears.
    the necklace that came with it is basically like a rope you tie on the unit. not like something you can securely screw on onto the player. and besides, the squarish dimensions of the player makes it look lopsided when hanging on the necklace. which is why i mentioned that it wouldve been better had the unit was more oblong-shaped instead of squarish.

    Time to bump...

    I've got well over 1000 cds now, and I'm constantly looking for new music. For the other audiophiles out there, what do you find works the best:

    A) Buy the biggest iPod/other brand MP3 player possible (60-80GB), keep everything on it, guard it with your life, and hope for the best. One the one hand, the all-in-one option seems convenient, but then again... it would suck if something happened to it. On another note, it would be a bigger purchase for me, so I wouldn't be upgrading to any newer technology anytime soon.

    or

    B) Buy a huge external hard drive (like a 300-500GB) to store/swap music and then get a smaller mp3 player (2-4GB) for the portability. This seems like a cool idea for a couple of reasons -
    1) I'd be able to just load everything into the storage unit (music, pictures, back-up files from my computer) and never fill it up...
    2) the smaller mp3 player wouldn't be as big an investment, so if it gets broken/lost/stolen... or i wanted to upgrade to a newer technology, the hit to the pocketbook wouldn't be so bad...
    3) swapping music with friends would be pretty simple - show up with external hard drive and swap away...

    On the other hand, for those of you that have the huge external hard drives... are they reliable enough to where I could really trust throwing everything on to it? Are there some that are way better than others?

    or

    C) Some other option... Any other suggestions?

    I got a SanDisk 1/2 GB MP3 player off Woot a couple of weeks ago that has great sound. It's only 1/2 GB, but it was only $17, too.

    I use an iRiver Clix. It's only 1 GB storage, but it's a great little player. I use it to listen to podcasts more than I do music, so that's not a big issue. I store music at home on my NAS which right now is 300 or 400 GB and can be expanded to 3 TB. It's not like I have enough time or need to carry a bajillion mp3 files around with me wherever I walk. lol.

    I am increasing leaning toward the large library at home + smaller portable player option... but with the 1GB storage limit, do you find it a hassle or time-consuming to move stuff around? How long does it take you to fill it up/clean it out?
