I do not think that Yao wants to play with Kobe. Tmac is the best friend of Yao, he is having a problem right now, so was Yao. I just hope that Tmac can go though the problem. At least, the thread of trading Tmac has not come out yet, several threads of trading Yao have been posted when Yao was not playing well, so most people still think that Tmac and Yao can lead us to rings.
I still think T-Mac will be the one that takes us "there." Not alone, but with Yao. Slump or whatever...I've seen what he's capable of before and after he came to Houston. With both of them, I really do believe the team will keep us entertained for a few years.
It's really sad to see so many people turned against Tmac after a few bad games. It happened to Yao before and now it's Tmac. Where is the loyalty to your players?
outside of the rocket's community, tmac has a reputation for not having what it takes to win championships. it's going to get alot worse if he doesn't shake whatever it is he has soon.
Not a few bad games, its over a month of bad games. That is something to be concerned about. Tmac is in the top ten scoring in the nba, but in the top 50, he is the second worst shooter Rockets want to do it big, how they gonna do it big when their top man and leader is playing like sh*t.
I've thought for a while that Tmac isn't really trying to really break the double teams, or make an honest attempt at driving the ball. The last time I remember that he REALLY looked to hustle is in that game where he had 24~ points at halftime, and then had to leave for the birth of his son. He was really moving in that game, and I was pleased to see him really moving fast. Other than that? He seems to be content with drawing a little attention, and then dishing the ball. It's almost like he doesn't believe that our team can win with our current players.
Ok, for a more realistic scenario... He's being blackmailed by someone who knows what he did behind his woman's back.
so does orlando Tmac will prove the doubters wrong. He's fought through injuries all season long and apparently has some personal stuff dragging him down a bit right now. Assuming he can get his back feeling right, he'll shake that stuff off and be the player that you hoped he would when the trade was made.
I'm sticking with T-Mac in Rockets red until the day he retires with his rings. It took dream a long time to get his rings--this is only the second season of Ming/Mcgrady. We gave up alot to get him and we been slowely rebuilding the team around he and Yao--when money is an issue it is difficult to build an immediate contender, give it time and the precious will become ours. I want him to put his head up and play hard. But this superstar is cut from a different cloth--he isn't a basketball machine like Kobe or a physical tank like LeBron--but when he is on, he is better than both, better than anybody. This has been a ride of a season so far Tracy, and the thing that makes individuals different is how they handle situations--money or no money. So i'm gonna cut him some slack and i know he'll deliver. They don't make em like they used to though.
After watching TMac do tomahawk windmill dunks in the all star game, I don't see how an extreme injury is his problem. I think injuries have definitely affected him this year, but I think it has now become a mental thing. He doesn't drive. He doesn't go to the free throw line anymore. All he does is settle for jumpers. I think, in his mind, he feels the only way to get out of his slump is to shoot his way out of it. I think somewhere along the way this season, he forgot what used to make him so successful as a scorer. Hopefully, he can figure it out again.
Tmac is not as strong as Lebron, Wade, Kobe. It seems to me that his body can't take the same physical punishment. Or he is not using his body wisely. During one game broadcast in Chinese, I heard the commentator say when Tmac drive to the basket and shoot, his body looks loose, which doesn't equip him well for the possible hard foul, while Kobe looks tense and ready to take a hit. I think with all the injuries, Tmac is hesitating which is understandable though unfortunate for Rockets.
With Yao playing the way he is all we need is T-MAC to regain his form and some of these open looks that the roll players are getting to fall and we will not only make the playoffs but we will be a tough tough out!
The guy is having some rough time off the court, which is obviously effected his on court playing. Give the guy some time, he will get out of it.
Look in a bright side, TMAC has not been playing so his back should feel better, when he comes back he'll be stronger like Yao
Exactly. I can't believe some people actually think he is washed up and might actually consider trading him. Just a few weeks back he was dropping 40 on everybody. He is not washed up. His body type is fine. He does care. I just wish he would be more of a leader and take some responsibility.
tmac said that yao has been demanding the ball recently, maybe he just wants to equally share the ball with yao...
