Here is the latest mock draft from Ourlads.com. Like just about every other mock they have us taking Reggie at #1. They have Young either going at #6 to the Raiders, or completely falling out of the 1st round. I think it's ridiculous to think he would fall that far.

I can't see that happening. It's obvious that the guy at Ourlads doesn't think much of VY's pro potential, but he will definately go in the first round.

I can see the Lions, Cardinals, Browns, Ravens, Dolphins, Cowboys, Bucs, and Bears potentially taking VY.

These guys are nuts to think that he will last beyond top 10.

It's not your brutal insults it's the fact that you're a smartass. If you talk trash to someone you talk trash, period. It doesn't matter on what level , it's still immature. Apparently to you that doesn't hold true. That makes you a hypocrite. Plain and simple.

No, you listen pole smoker. I'm aware that it's the internet (no "s" on the end little fella') and I'm entitled to my opinion. There's tons of controversy over Young's test score. It's an issue. If you think it's an ignorant issue or don't want to talk "conspiracy theories" as you so elequeently put it then you shouldn't even be involved in the debate. Since nobody is ever going to know what really happened it's all specualtion. Guess you can't comprehend that. You'd be best served not involving yourself in things you don't find worthwhile. We have wasted space with a stupid argument. Also, I've talked plenty of football and this issue is football related.

I could careless where your wife lives. I don't live in Chicago (I know it's another one of your lame attempts at humor) so I don't even see the point of the comment. Also, I never said your wife lived with me, I just said she was over at my house. Big difference.

To steal a phrase from somebody who I hate, this post scored 17 out of 10 on the unintentional comedy scale - unless it was intentional.

Good show KAS :D - I didn't know you lived in Joliet too!

    1) Not being able to run inside and not being counted on for two yards are NOT the same issue, but thanks for trying. He couldn't be trusted to get two yards on the outside then if he's unstoppable like you claim?

    2) Stop making the basketball comparisons, they don't fit.

    3) NFL defenses are faster, it's harder to run on the outside. That's the whole point. His strengths are tailored to the college game, even moreso than Vince's.

I have another question for all of you Young haters.

With his draft stock apparently slipping, how would each of you feel if we traded the #1 pick, and were still able to select Vince at #4 let's say.

And we got a good package of players or picks to go along with him.

    Still a bad choice?

Yes. Because we don't need a quarterback. Some of us are Young haters because we don't like UT, others don't think VY will make a good NFL quarterback, others are wanting whats best for the Texans.

You can't group everyone into Young haters. I know that isn't the case for me.

Ok, I'm curious to see the point at which you think that taking him is a good idea.

Which round of the draft would you be happy with the Texans selecting him?

    Late first? 2nd? 3rd? 7th? Undrafted FA?

Not saying that he deserves to be picked here. But I would not take him until the 2nd round. We need an impact player in the first round who can come in right away. If I officially thought carr was done I would take Young in the top ten. Definitely over cutler (his rise is way too weird), and not over leinart.

Ok so hypothetically what if the Texans got him in the 2nd round this draft.

    What happens then?

We try and develop him for a couple years. If carr sucks it up, then we have Vince. If carr does well, you trade young if he is developing. And if young doesn't develop, he will be a hell of a WR.

This is something that I feel a lot of people miss. I'm not a Young hater at all. I have questions about whether he will be a good QB in the pros and I don't think he's as good as a lot of his supporters do, but I want what's best for the Texans. As of right now, I don't think we need a QB. If the Jets want to give us Abraham, Vilma, #1 for our #1 and another one of our picks I'm all for it. I don't have to have Reggie Bush either. Whatever gets us to the playoffs quickest is what i want. I don't hate UT either. I'm mostly indifferent towards them.

What you're failing to see is that we don't need a RB any more than we need a QB. What the Texans really need is a decent O-line. For everyone that argues that Carr is adequate and has potential to be very good with some help, please remember that the same can be said for DD.

Carr has star potential though. He has never had a chance to show it (one of the main reasons is that we are lacking an o-line). That's a point we agree on. DD is solid and if he didn't get hurt every season my number 1 priority would be to trade the pick but he's way too injury prone. He's a good back but he's not a game breaker. He gets caught all the time from behind. I could live with that if his blocking wasn't so poor and he didn't have the injury problems but unfortunately that's not the case. That's why I don't see DD and Carr being in the same boat
