What do you want him to do? People is bashing him for the old "lack of effort and passion" comment. He can't take it anymore. :p

Sad but true. Believe or not there is a 7 footer thats faster than Yao and much more athletic. Too bad the chinese government is in no hurry to let him into the NBA. We could start him instead of Howard or Swift.

Shawn Marion must have felt he was really in the Matrix because Juwan moves in slow motion.

Stromile took the red pill, that's why we cant find him.

Are you referring to Yi Jianlian? I think these days it's more up to the club than anyone else. Plus, he is still a project and he mostly play PF. We all know how tough the competition is in this position.

Hey look at the bright side, from the same article :

    Inside the numbers
    • 15 — Yao Ming points in the first half.
    • 14 — Yao Ming points in the previous two games against the Suns combined.
    • 1 — win shy of the best February in Rockets franchise history. They finished 10-3; they were 11-3 in 1981-82.

i know this has been beaten to death... but i think it's cuz tmac's not 100%. on an adverage night, his missing points could've made the difference. it's not quickness... it's the fact that we're a two cylinder team with one sparkplug broken.

That means this team need to be more balanced on every position. I am sure the management has realized this now and hopefully they can address this problem in the off-season.

When Mr. Van Gundy is waving his arms and screaming to "slow it down" does he does not want us to play quick? Or just with control and low turnovers?

Please explain. I am not dogging him-I just do not get it.

Bah! Quit pointing fingers and take the blame....

    This sounds more legit...

"We're at a coaching disadvantage, so it makes it look like an effort thing when it truly is a coaching thing," Van Gundy said.

We are at a quickness disadvantage, but we are, at the same time, at a size advantage. Too bad our coach can't take advantage of.

You know when a coach looks the worst?

When his players don't make their freaking shots.
    TMac - 6 of 18
    Wesley - 1 of 7
    Rafer - 2 of 9

If they make more shots, Yao has more space and gets 40 and 15 instead of 28 and 18.

All of a sudden you have a decent game.

This is year two of the rebuilding after gutting our franchise to get TMac. Some elements of an elite team are clearly not there - but go ahead and blame the coach for that if you want. It doesn't make me look like an idiot - except perhaps by association.

This is a cover up by JVG. If you tell a player don't leave player X at any cost and that player does his job of guarding player X, there is a good chance that he will disrupt that players performance. Unless the player is vastly superior. Our Rockets were not guarding the wide open three point shooters of the Suns--JVG's fault!!

god the basketball knowledge here is absolutely non existent. its a tired act here...zone the suns...how moronic...saying hes blaming the players...he said its not their fault...they are quicker...that is a fact...you haters all do the same thing after every game...blame someone or something like we should win every game...dont you get tired of not being savvy in anyway about the game. god i hope you are good at your jobs because you suck as posters

Wow, and this added to the intelligence of the board exactly how?

Did you come up with any redeeming methodology on beating the suns? No? Why not?

The best you can do is come in and bash the posters? Wow, that is great, do you have any actual thoughts, or you just decided to come in and shoot the messengers, or the fans that actaully are passionate about this team, and care enough to post their thoughts on how to improve it.

Not you, nah, you just rail on posters, it is all their fault that JVG and the Rockets can't figure a simple way to stop the Suns, or to slow them down. I mean they have lost 17 games, so SOMEONE has figured out how to beat them.

ZONE'S work to protect your players lack of footspeed. Picking up Nash as soon as you shoot stops the quick transition and outlet pass. Deny Nash the ball, hell play a Box and one for crying out loud....Nash makes that team go...no one else even gets an open shot without him.

Marion is a great leaper and plays with passion, but without Nash, that team is crap.

I totally agree with JVG. We just do not have the team speed to run with the Suns. There is always one team in the NBA that has incredible speed, and right now it is the Suns.

The only way they we beat them is to not play the speed game. You have to slow things wayyyyy down. Unfortunately, we have tried to run with then for the last 2 games (we take too many quick, outside shots) and we just ain't that fast.
