Watching Yao play tonight, after he stepped on someone's foot and tweaked his ankle, he was hobbling back and forth and dragging his 300 lbs across the floor in obvious pain, yet he continued to get up in the air and fought for every single offensive rebound and putbacks. All these happened AFTER WE WERE ALREADY DOWN BY 20 POINTS.

I've seen player showing heart and never quits even they were down, and this is one of those touching moments. People questioned Yao's heart and will, and our big man showed tonight he cared more than anyone else on the team. Other than Yao, no one else showed me anything, and it was such a shame to see it happen. This shouldn't happen. I wish Tmac and co. should show up every night like his big man does whom he's always bragging about.

Not to derail this thread but is Yao OK? How serious is the ankle injury? We need our big man in good shape.

But yes, Yao's got tremendous heart. A big heart for a big man.

I can't take another injury that causes Yao or T-Mac to miss a lot of time. Please, pleaseeee don't let it be bad or nagging.

Not that again. Please, please, please don't derail this uplifting and well-intentioned thread into a "Trade Yao to a team that deserves him" tangent. That would be a mighty shame.

Are you and Charvo one and the same person?

No, Yao will not be traded to the Lakers. Stop dreaming.

    RELAX guys....

According to what was reported on the Chinese websites, Yao Ming did not sprain or tweak his ankle. He was only using up most of his stamina in this fast-paced back-to-back match towards the middle of 4Q, and was suffering cramps to his leg.

But he just hobbled and fought on and continued to score 6 points and grabbed 1 ~ 2 rebounds, until he could barely run before JVG substituted him.

    SO NO BIG DEAL !!!
