Are we seeing a new(or old; never got to watch him with orlando) Mcgrady? I finally got to watch the last game against the clippers (thanks R2K) and he seemed to be playing with more flash and flair. the fancy dribbling he used to shake off livingston and that awesome behind the back dribble before the fadeaway. and all this coming after the all-star game. i never saw him do that kind of stuff earlier this season or last season.
If his back is not bothering him and his head is "straight" (maybe the headband helps), TMac can do amazing things. Back problems will make you look old in a hurry, especially if you are an NBA player. When he is healthy, he is vitually unstoppable. He really can do anything he wants on the court regardless of the defense played against him. But, at present, he is not 100% mentally or physically. Is he going to play in Orlando?
I don't know if or where you can get them, but get some tapes from his playoff performances in Orlando...heck, or just watch his playoff performance last season with the Rox (T-Mac wasn't healthy then either, he had few things with his knees, toe, and other things bothering him, but was probably healthier than this season).
I think T-mac plays alot better when he has more confidence, and the reason he played so well is because after the all-star game he gained alot of confidence in himself because his teammates were trying to get him alot of shots. I think when the rockets are on a bad losing streak or T-mac has some personal issues or something else that gets him down he plays worse because he lost some confidence in himself.
I just want him to be healthy physically and at peace mentally. He can do things that most people just say "Damn" to because they can't think of anything else to describe it. He's capable of crazy sh*t. This season is not as lost as some people make it out to be, but at the same time, it's not exactly what most Rockets fans had in mind. He needs to keep his focus, that's all. This whole team does.
tracy campaigned hard for swift's signature in the off-season. he's trying too fool a few people into thinking he is swift. he doesn't want to be known as a bust faux-GM.
