flip is a better scorer than da. that is proven. it's not like mike wilks is hot stuff. guy barely gets off the bench. da can still play......some.

Yeah, why would Seattle trade for DA then? To make us better?

I don't think Seattle would ever trade Murray to us. Given the choice, I'm sure Seattle would rather trade him out of the conference, instead of making one of their playoff competitors better.

From what I recall them talking about Fitch, he's what else? A very good defensive player.

rockets were a bit skint but they now have true depth in the inactive list... so cd basically dumped da's contract for a trade exception. it's not too bad bad but i would've preferred diener same money but better shot.

You have to jump when JVG says jump or you're gone. It's his way or the highway. Maybe Fitch can provide a decent perimeter defender like Bogans did. Can the Rockets win a game if T-Mac or Yao are having an off night with the current supporting cast? Maybe if one of our guards step up like they have lately, but we clearly need more scoring.

I really like this deal. When I watch Fitch play, he really reminds me of Derek Fisher. He plays great defense and can shoot the 3. He will probably eat into Luther Head's min.

He can shoot the 3? He is 7-26 so far this year from behind the arch.

Thank god we got rid of that cancer.

Well, I'm sort of excited to see what this new kid has.

Too small a sample to really tell, if he hits his next 3 he is shooting above 33%.

as DD said, small sample size. Plus, limited playing time usually = rusty shooting. But check what he did in the summer league...solid shooter

    Fuzzy math.

8-27 would still be below 30%.

But he did shoot 40% from beyond the arc his last 2 years of college.

I like this trade because I think it says a lot for the Rockets organization. Anderson came to the Rockets for very little money in the hopes of being part of something great. Obviously it didn't work out with him and JVG. But the organization traded him to a contending team getting another small expiring contract in return so it did not hurt the Rockets because DA wasn't going to be playing anyway. I think it is these type of deals that helps the Rockets get players to come here for less money than they might get somewhere else.

He is so good that he was undrafted and heat quit on him for our cancer.

I didn't say anywhere in my post that he is good. I said I'm excited in seeing what he has, because he is a player I've never seen before.

The 1.9 million TE from the Heat expires today. So we end up with the remainder of our TE around 3 million + G. Fitch. The only positive is getting an unhappy DA of the team.

He has loads of quickness, and good speed, covers the floor pretty good. But he is smallish, and poor strength. He'd be good in a run and gun Phoenix type system. He has to improve his accuracy while shooting more quickly. Will be good overplaying the passing lanes but will get posted up by the stronger PGs.
