Are you saying that he did not assault the camerman amd the store clerk? It was reported on every TV station in town when it happened.
I'm saying that 95% of what you've said consists of "My friend told me..." and "I heard from this guy that..." I've met Dream before and he was nothing but humble and gracious.
Where is your evidence to support your interpretation of what went down? Hakeem's rant was about how the offense did not run through the big man the way basketball and then he did say he would like to play for Pat Riley because he knows how to coach the big man. Hakeem could spin it how he wanted after he said it but that's what the man said.
Lol. Thanks for making my point Tiger. IllzSkillz fails to see this point. You dont have much credibility when you are trying to quote unnamed people who are your friends as documented sources. He has 200 thousand posts in a thread based on his personal incidents. The part about him being bitter about Hakeem changing his name says it all. An obvious troll and one that has serious personal problems. BTW, I saw that game. KG's hands were tied behind his back, and his legs were tied together to make the game a little challenging. Juwan was still outrebounded by what looked like a 7 foot cucumber.
Sure he was for a day. After whooping Shaq in a sweep of the 94-95 Finals. Shaq should be thankful Hakeem was humble enough to do a photoshoot with him after humiliating his team in the Finals.
i once met hakeem at a dinner... he was nice enough to attend and was being hounded by kids... he was talking to some people at his table and the kids' parents would bring them over and bother him... i was 14 i think, and this one guy was like "oh you didn't shake his hand, let me take you there"... anyways we walk over and I'm thinking boy even i know this can get annoying, so the guy taps hakeem on the shoulder and says hakeem, one more, and hakeem is like "please, man, let me eat!"... not too harsh, but he did say that... he shook my hand, but the point is if that guy takes what hakeem said to him and goes around saying hakeem is a jerk, you guys might say well that makes sense, but it doesn't... reading all this stuff, i fail to see why some are making a saint out of him and others are making him out as a jerk... i think he's just human, and overall, after being around him several times, i would say he is more humble and nicer than the average man, and even moreso considering he's got all that cash
Understand, and he had every right to request being left alone long enough to eat his meal...people should recognize when to leave these guys alone, and usually when someone is eating a meal is one of those times.
I have it on good authority that Juwon got two rebounds in that game...in both cases, he missed the shot so bad that it bounced right back to him, only to turn it over as he dribbled the ball off his foot...
There is no point in this argument. Obviously Ill-Skillz is delusional. But I'm amazed by something else. Though this may be a bball board and all, I'm surprised that Ill-Skillz description of Hakeem could bring the very heavens on his head, while the utter CRAP below almost went unnoticed, except for one user. This is absolutely sick. What a jerk. It's unbelievable how stupid someone can be. Just leaves me speechless that some people could even think that, and even more post it on a forum. Ignorant a$$hole.
tmac640 has a history of being a dumb poster, and not one of his posts make sense, so i believe people just ignore him now hence why you may not have seen any replies to his post also i think tmac640 is just some little kid surfing the net without his parents permission
The only people I know who get upset at what people say on a BBS are kids who've grown up with the internet and know nothing outside of it. No self-respecting adult would ever get so worked up just because 10 people you can't even see are questioning your opinion. It's a forum. Express your opinion and move on. If people call you an idiot, who the hell gives a damn? Every single member of this board could post insults about me, and I'd be hard pressed to even break into a frown. While I respect many of the posters around here, they're all still people I'll probably never meet. Ill-Skillz, the fact that you feel the need to retaliate against everyone that disagrees with you tells me a great deal. I highly doubt you were even born in 1975, let alone a Rockets fan at that time. That said, I'll freely concede that my conjecture about your age could very well be wrong. Nonetheless, if you indeed are old enough to have been a Rockets fan for 20+ years, that makes your situation even sadder than it already was. Just grow up and move on please. This petty bickering is ridiculous.
Umm...I'm not one bit upset. These other guys are the ones upset because I expressed my opinion about their hero. Who's worked up. It sounds like you are to me. Get a grip. I expressed my opinion and then I defended it when people called me out on my opinion. Get the story straight. It's call responding to their posts directed to me. It's funny to me how so many of you get your panties in a wad when someone makes a non homer post. Then you obviously don't know what you are talking about. And the fact that you feel you are the white knight riding to the rescue of this forum is pretty f'n pathetic. Open up your own forum and call it homerville if you want nothing but cheery rose colored glasses posts. So...you think by making a bunch of dumbazz statements to me is somehow noble and made in the name of peace. Sir, you need to grow up and then mind your own business.
Wake up, I told you that 2 of those were incidents that were reported on television. Call 610 Sports and ask those guys if those 2 incidents happened and then prepare your apology.
Actually, that was a good post. Hakeem has a good side to him to but the ugly side comes out a lot more than most of you think it does.
