Do not get me wrong he is one of my favorite basketball players of all time but something I just noticed while watching the Rockets Insider.

T-Mac used to be so much more of a leader. Congratulating his boys after they make a shot or dish him a nice pass. I don't see that as much out of him anymore.
What brought this up was I was watching a highlight on Drexler being given his award and they did a flash back, and you see Clyde slapping Ellies back and high fiving Kenny Smith and making much more of an effort to let his guys know they are appreciated and they do a good job.
    ---I miss Sura :(

So Yao doesn't play with enough passion and intensity, now it's T-Mac?

I don't give a crap about high-fives. That's not what it takes to be a leader. It's all about how he plays on the court. He played great tonight, so this is terrible timing on this thread. I have a feeling Tmac's slump is over. He looked like a different person out there.

Maybe T-mac is just enjoying playing with the team and not feel like leading...this is where the fun part of the season is so let's not get all down on what who is doing wrong with what...let's focus on the playoffs and start a win streak!

F that. JVG is short and ugly. Tmac has lazy eyes. I'm so pissed that Toyota Center isn't next to my house. I'm tired of paying 20 dollars for parking. Can't Tmac have some better shoes? They should give out free beer. This sucks. Yao can't pull off the rim. Everything is useless.

This is tainted. Everything is Tainted. I'm a God Warrior. They are messing with dark sided stuff. Gargoyles!

I honestly wasn't trying to be negative... Sorry guys. Like I said T-Mac is one of my favorite players all time and I have no doubt that the little bit of success the rockets have had this year was because of Mac. But do any of you think it would make a difference on say Stro's playing if T-Mac made him feel a little more comfortable. Before any one jumps. I am NOT saying TMAC is obligated to do such, I'm simply stating would it make our role players performance at par with the Championship Rockets?

i think alston can take care most of the passes. as long as t-mac is doing his job by being dominant every night, then he's in good shape. no need for all the hand gestures. every player should know better to play his best for the team. it's not like motivating a bunch of kids to play hard by giving them candies.

TMAC was all smiles today. He seemed better, so I am just happy to see that. Don't care about anything else.

t mac is a leader! he blocked that one shot tonight to half court and pulled that loose ball from out of bounds while off balanced and got it to Yao for the deuce, all while yelling aaaahhhhh!! thats the sound of a leader!!

In fact, I don't even mind the nights where he isn't the leading scorer. If he just comes with it every night, especially in the 4th quarter, what more can you ask for? Just him being on the court makes his team sleep easier, isn't that leading enough? They know they can throw it to him in a tough situation and he'll probably make something out of nothing. Or get someone a nice setup.

If he understands when (which I think he does) to dominate and take over the game, then that's all I want. Watching T-Mac play, on nights like tonight, is like being in what I would think heaven would be like :D .

He's very unselfish. He doesn't mind passing the ball, but he knows when to take his shot. And he knows how to get his own shot. And he knows how to create someone else a shot.

In other words, he's an MVP. And the only reason why he isn't a frontrunner for MVP this season is because of the Rockets' record.

Where T-Mac goes, the Rockets go. Even if that headband just doesn't look right on him.

you're overrating high fives. it's not like t-mac never congratulates his teammates and i'm sure he does alot of it through, you know, talking, which we don't see.

Until Yao impacts the game on the defensive end, the rockets will never win a championship.

Neither Tmac or Yao is all that good at being a leader, both are low key guys who lead by example.

This team needs a vocal - get in your face - type of guy like Sura to compliment our 2 gentle giants.

Yao is one of the best defensive centers in the league.

WTF is up with all this T-Mac bashing that's become such a favorite past-time on this board?

Are you looking for something to complain about?

Damn the quality of this board has gone down tremendously just in the past few days
