Very well said Yao...we all need to keep our heads in the game at all times...little things will cost us against a good team. We managed to let the weaker teams back in it and made a game of it but we can't do that with these guys.

Getting a small snack to eat at home and get ready to leave and be up there early to watch the game and stretch out..haven't been active for a week thanks to all-star weekend.

well not much to say I guess. as yao said after the game...we had a good season with alot of us playing together for the 1st time. we were undeafeated before going into tonights game.

i dont blame anyone for tonights loss, stack. you say you didnt make your shots, well none of us were making shots for a long stretch. of course we didnt play our best game but we played good enough to win. we were up by 10pts I believe in both halfs but maybe relaxed a little and allowed them to go onto big runs.

good season again and I look forward to next season. I enjoyed playing with everyone and I hope that I get to play with yall again before next season starts...which might be around the corner. Im down to play next season but who else is able to? I know biggie and his .01pts/game are leaving us...clutch might be leaving the country...stack said he might run the next seasons team...

again, I enjoyed playing with everyone and again, good season. lets all pat ourselves on the back ;)

I apologize. I take the blame. I know the real reason we lost.

Normally, when I leave from downtown, I take the long route, which is going down Louisiana and on to I-10, and sit in Traffic. Then take 610 South, and sit in more traffic. I take the San Felipe exit, and I try to avoid potholes, and drive in the correct lanes.

This time, I took Memorial out of downtown, and then took Woodway to Augusta.

    That's why we lost.

    It was a great run.
Yeah, I got nothing else better to do, so I guess I will play again.

Good season guys. We played well enough to win but just let it slip away and i honestly have to brunt most of the blame on it. I mean we can say that none of us played well. But i made some stupid mental mistakes and untimely shots. I probably took us out of rythm and I know it. If i could have hit a few of those shots it would have been a different story and we will still be playing right now.

Towards the end i started just hesitating and not shooting, which is not like me.

Either way i cant look at that game and not blame the crappy shots i missed as some of the reason we lost the game.

Im ready for next season and I will be more than willing to run the team. Let me know who all is ready for next season.

    Good season, guys.

There's not a whole lot to say after tonight's game except that they hit their shots in the second half and we didn't. They hit three 3's in a row right around the 9 minute mark in the second half and that was pretty much the difference since we had to play catch up the rest of the way, which is hard to do when you're outsized down low.

I know Khalil is upset about his shooting and is taking a lot of blame on his shoulders but I feel just as, if not more responsible if we're going to talk about shooting. Pretty much all season I've been struggling. I figure YaoWink probably wonders why the hell I shot so many 3's this season since my % was so low and he's never seen me play anywhere else :p . I think we all agree I shot much better from 3 in the C League, and I've basically been a 3 point specialist since my sophomore year in high school, so trust me when I say that I realize my shot was crap in this league. The toughest part is that my shot has felt good, but has been off by just a hair everytime, it seems.

Oh well...I just don't want you guys looking at how much I shoot (and then looking at my %) and thinking that I just want to go out and chuck the ball at the basket. I actually get a really guilty conscience when I have a bad shooting game, but it's USUALLY my strength so it's hard to play a different style of game when the shots aren't falling. I guess I've built up a confidence over the years that my next shot is going to go in, and this season it just didn't most of the time...

That's all...just wanted to get that off my chest. I really wish Khalil and I could have shot just a littttttle bit better tonight so I could have had a chance to win a championship with you guys. I officially will not be around for the next league. I'm in the process of getting my passport and purchasing my non-refundable ticket to the far off city of Bangkok, Thailand. I'll be gone from May until probably late August. And yes, I said Bangkok...

    :D

I just feel that if i hit a few of those threes the zone would have been broken and we could have used Yao more effectively...

Can't dwell on it too much. I'd rather get ready for another season. Sucks to hear that your not going to be available for the league Kurt. As well as Biggie going to the dark side.

I do have a few friends that showed some interest so if we need some players we can bring them in and try it out. Either way i would love to keep the core of guys we have right now.

We will definitly have a day next week we can all just hang out have some drinks and enjoy the season at my place. Drinks on me....

yea its going to be tough season next year...missing clutch's shooting and just everything else is goin to be missed....missing biggies coaching and cheer off the bench will be missed...and josh might be out as well? since clutch is off to bangkok. hes our point gaurd, destributes the ball well and has shown the past month he can score if he has to. 3 guys who are alot to this team...tough season next year but theres no doubt that we can still have a good season.

hopefully josh and clutch can be around 2 seasons from now, they will have their spot on this team for as long as this team is playing ball

correct me if im wrong about josh, clutch.

Well better find out about the league soon cuz usually the registration starts while this league is going on, and that means the next season starts 2 weeks after tonight. CALL CALL CALL. If the season were to start in 2 weeks, wouldn't you still be around clutch for the season? I figure it would end in 2 months. march and april. I don't see any holidays hindering the schedule like christmas and new year's did.

Also it would be cool for all of us to get together and celebrate a good season. It didn't end the way we would have liked but we're more experienced now. You guys should do even better next time around.

the zone was very soft in the middle...free throw area. there was absolutely no one there any time and if we get that far, past a few defenders, its supposed to open the rest. I tried it but couldnt connect on any passes.

yea we can get look at these guys sometime....i was actaully going to see how mogrods knee was and see if he was ready. another big body would help.

sounds good...we have to bring our 'fans' as well. the few we had come to the games.

Hey CCR - I can tell by your form, release, rotation, and confidence in taking the shots that you are a very good shooter. I consider you the JJ Reddick of the team. While that 30 footer might have raised some eyebrows :D , I have seen you make a number of those shots in warmups to know that you can and will hit those shots.

I will never question a good shooter taking open shots.

Lol...it's funny that you said that about that one shot. Josh and I were taking the ball out and I said I wanted to bring it up and try to get a quick shot off using a pick from him. He was like "just JJ Redick it..." and I go "really? Like...from the red line?" and he goes "yeah, go for it."

So...I went for it, and it almost went in dammit lol. The guys that played in C League can tell you, about half of our offense consisted of me just pulling up from deep and launching like that. However, I was working out everyday back then so those kinds of shots were basically effortless. I shot 40+% from 3 last league for sure, but man...just didn't have it this time around.

Speaking of that shot in particular, though...when I watched the video to take stats I heard one of the guys from Christ Temple go "Oh my GAWD!" when he saw that I was shooting from there. Pretty funny, I must say.

I had actually forgotten about it, but now that you mention it, I would almost definitely show. I'd love to get last night's game out of my system.

So, as long as a good amount of others are going, then count me in.

I can't make it tomorrow. I've got a tennis league match going on. Also better hurry and see if you guys can sign up for D league this season cuz I think it starts soon. Otherwise you'll have to wait until after this season.
