I have home phone service through Lingo, which is a VoIP company. I am needing to use a 56K dial up modem to do some work (Medicaid) and I am wondering if it is possible to use a 56K modem through VoIP?

OK, what about over a standard ground line that has DSL service through it, that is also an option? Can I hook it up to that?

This will probably work, but the line noise might knock your DSL connection out while you're on the modem, if you don't have the right filters. This happened to a friend of mine and her fax machine.
