The RIAA thread got me thinking. What other business treat their customers as the marks? Health insurance Casinos (at some level) Others?
Bart: Okay, Dad, are you ready for our first con? Homer: You bet. Let's trim the mark. Bart: Nice use of the lingo, Homer. Homer: 10-4, Kimosabe. Bart: *groan*
The Houston Rockets? Worst home record in the league + 4th most expensive ticket in the league = #DIV/0!
I was thinking more along the lines of that the customers is never right. Casinos wouldn't really fit into this category, since they do treat you nice as they take your money. Same with business that rely on direct sales (like car dealerships) since the customers can always go to another dealership.
Fast food. Customers are never right at fast-food places any more. We inconvience those minimum-wage people. Me: "I ordered this with no mayo." Them: <*eye-roll*> <*heavy sigh*> "....all right...." This is one of the many reasons why I rarely eat fast food nowadays.
