My wife just won 4 tickets for tonights Jam Session for Rockets VIP at G.R.B. Anyone else going? Does anyone know about this event and what to expect? It is not listed as a scheduled event but I have the tickets in hand. Please lock if this is the wrong forum.
Naw, bro. I'm going with some buddies from work. Just didnt know what to expect. It sounds pretty cool and I heard Dream was in town. If I'm lucky he'll be there. I'm taking my camera and will post pics tomorrow.
I got two tickets in the mail about 10 days ago since I have season tickets. I am pumped, mainly since it shouldn't be as crowded as the other days AND the tickets were free. I am bringing my camera as well. I know 610's night shift is broadcasting from there tonight. It should be fun. Unlike the football and baseball one of these, I haven't seen what players are going to be there to sign autographs and the like. The NFLPA, for example had info on what playes were going to be where for the Super Bowl extravaganza. The NBAPA has nothing. Their site sucks in general.
I have four tickets. But since my daughter got sick night-before-last, we can't go. I'm giving them to a co-worker.
I traded my pair for tonight for a friends pair for tomorrow. Now I can still study without any distractions for my exam, and go to the jam session tomorrow
I have 3 tix for sunday for sale. If anyone is intrested post a reply on my thread in the classified section.
I just got back from tonight's jam session, and it was a lot of fun. There are several courts set up where you can participate in different shooting games to win a prize. One court is set up where the goals are like 7-9 feet tall, and you can dunk on them. Bring your sneakers and wear something comfortable. I saw a very pregnant Summer Sanders doing her NBA show, and she's really cute in person. There is an NBA store set up with clothing and stuff from all of the NBA teams. Oh, yeah... there's beer too...
Any volunteers in here? Wondering if yall know the time schedule for Saturday? My gf wants to go and see Nina Sky, Baby Bash, and others, but for some reason, in today's chronicle, it said she will be performing tommorrow with Bow Wow. Anybody know when the time of the concert is going to be? Just want to know which time slot I should get tickets for.
I want some tickets for All-Star Jam Session... please reply to me on here or my e-mail: jgasl@att.net
I went last night. Pretty interesting, but mostly stuff for the kids. Lots of courts set up to do different things (Shootout, dunks, moonwalk B-Ball, etc). They have a center court where they do shows with the Rockets Power Dancers, and they give away some free stuff. NASA has a booth. There is an autograph part, there were 2 WNBA women signing autographs when I was there. I saw Clyde walking through the area while I was there, ended up about 5 feet from him, but didn't feel like being part of the crowd that trailed him across the GRB. Also, if you are into memorabilia, there's a large sections selling cards, statues, pennants, etc. All in all, not a bad evening. Highly recommended if you have a child age 5 to 16. If they have better people at the autograph booth later in the week, that would be the main attraction.
Went to the premier last night and it was fun. There are booths set up where you can buy lots of autographed pics, old magazines and memorabilia. Hakeem and Clyde were there and supposedly Elvin Hayes too. There are a lot of fun shooting games and its not just a bunch a little kids running around like I had expected.
It's pretty stupid that the NBA has this here at the same time that the Rockets are out of town on a road trip. They shoulda scheduled this to have the Rockets in town against a marquis team and had all the players at the event. Not smart.
