As of right now on 2/13/06 we are only 4.5 games back from the 8th spot...when I saw that today i was amazed at how fortunate we are to be in that kind of position, after the way we played early on. We're getting healthy and you see that on the court. So I feel pretty confidant that we'll be one of the lower seeds in the playoffs this year...
i think we have a decent shot of making the playoffs. i wish we can just pull a couple more trades and get tmac up to full health. his back cant take lots of games. that scares me a lot. like his back to back game tonight, not looking good.
If TMac can stay healthy for the rest of the season, we have a good chance to make the playoffs. However, I'm not convinced that he's healthy at all. A healthy Tracy Mcgrady would never shoot 3 for 20 for a game. And the last time I checked, we have yet to win a game without him in the lineup this season.

Rockets are 15-7 when both Yao and Tmac play so if they both stay healthy and continue to play I say we make the playoffs. Also I like Keith Bogans alot his defense and height will be much needed at the 2 gaurd spot as we finish the season strong. Go Rockets!!!
No, there was seriously never any doubt for me. I never stop believing in this team. Remember the posters that came in the paper back in the day? "Believe," "Clutch City," and whatever else there was. I always believe; Clutch City cannot die.
Hold on, I will post in this thread in just a minute, but first I need to go start a thread about whether or not the Houston Rockets will make the playoffs. That just gave me another idea. After that thread I will post on whether the Rockets should tank the season or not to try and get a higher draft pick.
I've always thought they would make the playoffs..... Still it's funny to remember all the threads that were being created just a few days ago after the Lakers loss....

Still need a 9-game win streak to reach 0.500, or a 20-11 finish to the season (41 wins). Need to go 23-8 for 44 wins. There are 7 games remaining against the league's top 4 teams (Det, SA, Dal, Pho). Looks like Sacramento is the only team (out of the 5) above us for the 8th seed that may be difficult to overtake. I hope we can do it, though it'll be crucial that McGrady's back starts to cooperate. Yao looked fantastic last night. Evan
portland is'nt making a run. seattle is on the verge of tanking says bob hill. mini is sliding fast going 3-7 in thier last 10. golde state is starting to fade as they do every year. plus chemistry issues. utah and la are consistant .500 all year. if we are going to make the playoffs we have to win 42-44 games. and even then, we have to beat out sacto who are turning things around at the same time as us. looking at our remaining schedule i think we can win 42 games, but we might fall just short of the second season.
