Did you read my post in the other thread. Barry CAN be trade if he waives his Bird Rights. It's the same situation with Vlad Radman in Seattle. And JVG not activating him, could very well be a ploy to force Barry into accepting a trade.

Barry waiving his bird rights are as unlikely as us getting LeBron James.

Or perhaps we should take JVG's words at face value, meaning Barry had not shown that he was ready to play yet and he really has just practiced with the team for the first time.

You don't know that. If the writing is on the wall here, going to a playoff bound team like the Nuggets could be appealing to him. Certainly Barry is calling the shots, but it's far from a sure thing that he wouldn't welcome a move to finish off the season somewhere else, especially depending on how JVG deals with the situation (i.e. leaves him inactive).

honestly, i don't think barry will get traded. he and Gumby have too great of a relationship [no - not like Gumby and RyBo, not that graphic] for JVG to trade him somewhere else. what, honestly, will barry fetch? he's been out all year, and he was ready to retire LAST YEAR. there's no way that they're gonna go through all of the trouble of trading Barry for maybe a difference of a million here and there, and it's not likely we're gonna get any serviceable talent like Barry for that cheap either.
plus, JVG likes Barry too much. he's probably his favorite player, off-the-court [besides RyBo].

Man, it sounds like they already have a deal in mind or in the works already for him.

Without having something in place, how do they know they will be out of that second year when it's possible they could get a guy in return that has another year or two left?

I assume they will be looking just for a guy on the last year of his deal, but stiil. Just reading between the lines, it sounds like they have something in mind with a contending team.

Yeah, a step further, how do they even know they would be able to trade him this year?

Maybe the thing the Rockets/JVG don't like about DA is the same thing that caused Portland to let him go for nothing even thought they would have to pay him in full.

Or it could mean that he came here thinking he would be part of a good team and to help that good team move up the NBA ladder, but we haven't turned out to be much of a good team. Maybe he's saying the Rockets didn't hold up to their end of the bargain... Lord knows the man will pretty much tell it like it is, so he may just be saying we suck. :D

    according to jvg

wesley and head are small at that position..i dont know if they might move one of them.

he is implying barry aint in top conditon and his shots probably aint falling.

as far as DA, jvg probably knows anderson is not going to help this team.

u know when you break up with a girl and say..oh its not u..its me. ahah thats kinda what jvg is saying..oh he is a great player ..very smart..so he should be with a better team.

my transalation: da, u suck and we would be better off finding bowen's twin before letting u play.

Yeah because THATS what NBA teams do. When you underachieve you send talent out to a team that is achieving. Especially those 10 ppg, pay you next to NOTHING type players.

Or maybe Rockets being a contender was part of the bargain DA and the team made for him to come here for less money, and since it's not working out, they've agreed to part ways. My guess.

    yea...me too

DOc nails it...which is little surprise since half of the people claiming otherwise love a good conspiracy theory.

    Occams Razor people.

" Given two equally predictive theories, choose the simpler, and the simplest answer is usually the correct answer. "

It is a lot more likely that DA wants to be on a good team...and we are not good....VG wants more defense at the 2, by all accounts Bogans provides that, while DA isnt known for defnese,

THerefore, DA would get little playing time, which he will not take lying down..so they mutually agreed to find him a team where he can get minutes.

It is the most obvvious answer to folks not inclined to blame the organization for everything.
