ME! I remember downing No Doze and Jolt cola, then having a shake fit at around 6am. Having to wait until almost 5pm the next day for the meet and greet was torture. Bruce @ Record Rack needed an asskicking for that! Still got the signed Bona Drag CD though. SMITHS RULE, WAR HEADMASTER RITUAL/LAST NIGHT I DREAMT THAT SOMEBODY LOVED ME/ SUEDHEAD, I AM OUT! Being king of page three pwns.
For all you Marr fans, his current band Johnny Marr and the Healers isn't all that bad. Also, Moz has been playing a few Smiths tunes in concert lately, and that's something he's not done before. Now there are rumors that he and Marr have been on slight speaking terms, but that's about it. No reunion is planned. I'd part with my testes to see the original lineup of Marr, Moz, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce jam for just one night. This thread is even making me miss my old Queen is Dead poster in the dorm room with the band in front of the English Pub. Good times, great memories.
When I saw him over 4 years ago he opened with A Light That Never Goes Out and played a few other Smith's tunes in the set as well. They sounded great. I'd also kill to see that original lineup.
Yea, if the original lineup got back together and went on tour, it would be a must-see concert for me.
How many people are reading this thread right now and jamming out to the Smiths after having I'd like to wish you an unhappy Birthday stuck in their head all day long?
smiths/morrissey had some brill songs - hand in glove, how soon is now, well i wonder, reel around the fountain, will never marry, suedehead, etc. anyone who thought/thinks they were fey will get a clip in the teeth from me.
I have heard a rumor that Mike Joyce, Peter Hook, and Mani from the Stone Roses are trying to start a band, or one time project together. It should be interesting.
