He will work closely with Jon Hoke, who has coached the Texans' defensive backs for four seasons. The Texans also officially announced Johnny Holland as their linebackers coach and John Benton as their offensive line coach. Head coach Gary Kubiak is still awaiting word from former Green Bay coach Mike Sherman regarding the Texans' offer to become assistant head coach/offensive line. Bayless, who has three years of NFL coaching experience, spent the past two seasons as the special teams assistant for the Oakland Raiders.
