Yao averaging around 10 boards per game is not bad if we can get a PF who puts up 8 to 10 boards per game.

If only Hayes was 6-9 he could be another AD.

DD, great post. I too have been very happy with Yao's rebounding as of late. Yao appears to be making himself "bigger" in the lane, using his strength to get those boards. He also hasnt been doing as much "tip rebounding" but rather just grabbing the ball and not letting go. Maybe Yao has been talking to Chuck Hayes a bit about getting boards. ;)

Not so hot on the rebounding today against the Knicks...

You jinxed him with this thread!

14 rebounds or 3 rebounds... great to have him back.

Coincidentally, no Hayes either. I'm telling you Hayes not only gets boards, he draws enough attention that Yao has more access to the rim for rebounds.

Yao is looking better. Tracy gets to rest because of him. And when Stromile is on the floor, he helps Yao out.

But Yao always keeps the ball too low when he moves to the bucket.

    ps: LOVE THE YAOSTER

Yao worked hard during the time off...I'll bet playing is easier that rehab.

He was not great yesterday against the Knicks...BUT...he did do some good things...blocks...physical presence...

TEAM win yesterday...but Yao does look better...and happy to be back.

This is a good point. Yao seems to have no interest in stats. You won't find him snatching a rebound from one our guys.
