I think he will come back, I saw him last night at Escobar and was walking around fine and talking to all the ladies as usual. He did look alot skinner in person, have to wonder if he has been working out as hard since his injury.

ONce Barry and Sura get back they will play over Head and Derek Anderson. WEsley and Alston will remain the starting gaurds for us. I think Van Gundy wants Barry and Sura's toughness and basketball smarts off the bench plus they are both tall gaurds who can rebound and shoot the ball well. ONce those 2 get back we will be even better than we are now. Go Rockets!!!

Ric Bucher said tonight on NBA fastbreak tonight that he "received word" that Sura has been running and shooting on his own...I believe there was a post here a couple of weeks ago with someone saying this.

Honestly, if the Rockets didn't think he'd be back, I don't think they'd have Carroll Dawson, and Jon Barry, and other sources of media saying that he'd be back.

I think we'll see him at the very beginning of March.

bobby can provide the fire that we seem to be missing on some nights, but he's never been a good three point shooter. we also don't know if he lost a step after the surgery. at this point i'm hoping he comes back and by the end of the contribute 20 solid minutes a game.

Sura might actually see some time backing up T-Mac at the 3-spot, especially with his rebounding ability, although he's probably best suited for the 2-spot.

    dont forget about derek anderson.

if derek returns he may compete with david for the starting 2 spot. and i think bobby would be better suited at the PG backup spot or the 3 spot.

the one thing that worries me (and its a good worry) is that if all our injured guards come back healthy and everyone plays at a high level what happens to luther? will he just eventually get pushed back to being a cheerleader?

The way he's hit the rookie wall, I say let him get the rest so he'll be ready for the post-season. I could see Head hitting some big shots come playoff time.

Wesley remains the starting 2 if we can't trade him (which I hope we are trying to do). Sura backs up Alston at the point (15-20 minutes at the point, 5-10 minutes at the 2).

We are invested in Alston. He is now our starting point guard. Even if we wanted to trade him, we'd still have to showcase his skills anyway. Alston get's the bulk of the playing time at our point for the rest of the season, so long as he is healthy.

Sura will get minutes at both the point and the 2. I see 25-30 minutes a game for Bobby between the two positions.

A healthy Bob Sura will be a "difference maker" on this team. He was magic last year (when healthy) and "if" he is really 100% he gets major minutes where ever he is needed. He will split the time with Alston at the point. He is the "heart" on this team. And he is a better shooter than either Alston or Wesley, especially in the clutch.

I thought people were crazy last season when they were claiming that Sura would be the difference maker. I'll reserve judgement to see what happens this year. I particularly remember him hitting a big 3 pointer in one of the first two victories in Dallas down the stretch last year. I was going ape****.
