Understandable, but I have always found bin Laden's facial features closely resemble the European dipiction of Jesus (p.b.u.h).

Where does it say that they torched the exhibition?

Where are the armed militants chanting death to Saudi? Where are the kidnapping threats?

I am fine with the artest expressing his opinion. I know that Jesus was not a terrorist, so it doesn't really matter to me if some jackass depicts him as one. I am dissappointed in the people who reacted so poorly to the exhibit. Jesus had a kinder, more peaceful response when the Romans were freaking crucifying him, I don't think he would flip out over a painting. Besides, everybody knows that Jesus was a booster. He didn't come to earth to give us the willies, he came to help us out.

I think Gwayneco was being sarcastic in the title to show the difference in the Christian response to something offensive.

    Gwayneco,

Do you have a picture of that painting? I am guessing the artist is not a Muslim, correct?

If it's true that someone is portraying Jesus (pbuh) as a terrorist, then it's absolutely despicable and outrageous.

I see similarities between Bin Laden and Jebus. Jebus was a martyr for Christians as is Bin Laden for the Muslims. Not too far a stretch to mesh them together.

If it is not ok for violence about Cartoons, it is certainly NOT ok for burning of art because certain people don't like it.

Who knows what Jesus looked like? He was middle eastern in descent....just makes you have no hope for mankind if people get angry at depictions of their savior, or religious icon.

Somewhere in heaven, God is shaking his head, and pondering another flood......

    ugh...

I always thought Bin Laden looked like Scottie Pippen.

DaDa...I'm not sure if you caught it or not...but there was no burning of the picture. or anything else in that regard. i think gwayneco was trying to contrast the response from Christians here over something similar to what the Muslims are seeing with the cartoons in Europe. in the article he posted, there is NOTHING about Christians doing anything. the only mention of someone being offended was that no one the reporter talked to was offended.

    Ah,

I see, I must have mininterpeted the subject and read something into the article that was not there.

So, what Gway, was doing is showing the varying degrees of protest.

Showing how the Christians are not as radical in their beliefs....Ok, I get it.

    Carry on !

damn man - i know bin laden is responsible for the deaths of 3,000 americans and he is a bad and evil dude, but that is no reason to make such insulting comments.

i think you owe OBL an apology.
