    Rocky 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?

    It matters, you know.

Rocky 2,3,4 or 5. This season's team will in no way reflect Rocky from Rocky(1).

Good points. We could resemble Rocky(1) because he loses in the end, but he comes back to be champion 4 times after that.

What a great idea! Let's tank the season less than 42 games into it for an inknown commodity! Not smart.

According to our current standing, and if nbadraft is correct, gay would be a much better choice than gibson.

Do you have to pump this thread back to the top every time after we lose a few games in a row?

Actually, the only thing that would make sense is if the Rockets were like Rocky in Rocky II or III.

In Rocky, Rocky loses at the end (kind of) although some say that he should have been declared the winner. This is the best Rocky and the only Oscar that Sylvester Stallone ever won (best screenplay), but he has won ten Razzies.

Rocky II: Rocky gets a rematch against Apollo Creed and wins.

Rocky III: Rocky loses the heavyweight title to Clubber Lane then regains it. This movie is probably one of the top ten movies that I have seen the most. It is really funny.

Rocky IV: Drago kills Apollo in the ring then Rocky beats Drago an international competition. I'm not sure if this is for the heavyweight belt or not but Rocky never lost it. The Rockets can't be compared to Rocky in this situation because they're not current champs.

Rocky V: I didn't see all of it, but I did see the end. As near as I can tell, Rocky never beat Tommy Gunn in the ring. I think he only beat him in a street fight in an alley behind a bar. That would be like the Rockets winning a game of street ball against the Pistons or whoever after the season was over.

Anyway, I hope we pull a Rocky II or III, but maybe a Rocky VI (time will tell). And next time there's a Rocky analogy, will someone please consult me?

Rocky 5 is still not a bad option. We get a chance at the Mavs in a street brawl. I'd pay money to see that become a reality.

    No no no....

It's the new Rocky movie that's currently in production: Rocky Balboa.

You were quick to say the Rockets should tank too. A couple days I would have said you were right, but I'm believing again. I hope I'm right on our bet, I'm sure you hope so too. Let's see how these guys respond.

Daniel Gibson? That's Steve Francis all over again. Can't run the point, that's why they moved him to shooting guard at Texas. We don't need another undersized two guard. Lord knows we're overstocked with mediocre guards--not to say Gibson would be mediocre.
