Those would be the shoes and I never thought about how they would look in shorts. The tennis/cross training shoes would look better.

Call me dorky then because I have worn tennis shoes every day of my life. Being old, married and self-emplyed it doesn't matter if you're dorky. I've got no one I need to impress. I'm real glad I don't have to wear penny loafers or wing tips.

(I've got this other friend I worked in golf with and we would always be ringing up these old men in their madras shirts and black socks and he wondered " at what age do you just quit buying clothes?)

(isn't that the second time you have called me dorky)

Actually since golf assistant professionals are so notoriously low paid but they (used to) get their golf shoes for free, it was always hilariously predictable that some of them would show up at some guys wedding or the Christmas party wearing a pair of Classics with the spikes pulled out.

I had a big row with my pro once because I always wore tennis type shoes to work because I had to stand up for hours (and then go play). He said I should wear golf 'teaching' shoes to look more professional. Yeah right, a grown man in white bucks looks a loooooot better.

i wear Foot Joy golf sandals most of the year. in austin it's hot as hell and, truthfully, they're the most comfortable sandals i've ever owned (excluding flip-flops.)

man I am annoyed, the shoes at sports authority were all in the wrong place so they were not actually on sale at all. I did not feel like dropping 85 on shoes so I think I will wait.

Are you hip if you go your own way in complete disregard of others or are you hip if go a way to achieve the regard of others?

So ya wanna dump out yo' trick bag.
Ease on in a hip thang,
But you ain't exactly sure what is hip.

So you started to let your hair grow.
Spent big bucks on your wardrobe.
Somehow, ya know there's much more to the trip.

    What is hip?
Tell me, tell me, if you think you know.
    What is hip?
    If you're really hip,
    the question, "Will it show?"
    You're into a hip trip.
    Maybe hipper than hip.
    What is hip?

You became a part of a new breed.
Been smokin' only the best weed.
Hangin' out with the so called "Hippie set."

Seen in all the right places.
Seen with just the right faces.
You should be satisfied, but it ain't quite right.

    Hipness is. What it is!
    Hipness is. What it is!
    Hipness is. What it is!
Sometimes hipness is, what it ain't.

You went an' found you a guru.
In an effort to find you a new you,
And maybe even raise your conscious level.

While you're striving to find the right road,
There's one thing you should know,
"What's hip today, might become passe'."

    What is hip?
    Ahhhhhhhhh!
    What is hip?
    I'd like to know!
    What is hip?
Is it in the style of your hair?
    What is hip?
Is it in the clothes that you wear?
    What is hip?
    I'd like to know.
    What is hip?
    I'd like to know.
    What is hip?
    What is hip y'all? Hey!
    What is hip?
    Hey! Oh!
    What is hip?
    What is hip y'all?
    What is hip?
    I wanna know.
    What is hip?
    Ahhhhhhh!
    What is hip?

(had to give Thegary a song)

He would see faces in movies, on t.v., in magazines, and in books....
He thought that some of these faces might be right for him....and
Through the years, by keeping an ideal facial structure fixed in his
Mind....or somewhere in the back of his mind....that he might, by
Force of will, cause his face to approach those of his ideal....the
Change would be very subtle....it might take ten years or so....
Gradually his face would change its’ shape....a more hooked nose...
Wider, thinner lips....beady eyes....a larger forehead.

He imagined that this was an ability he shared with most other
People....they had also molded their faced according to some
Ideal....maybe they imagined that their new face would better
Suit their personality....or maybe they imagined that their
Personality would be forced to change to fit the new appear-
Ance....this is why first impressions are often correct...
Although some people might have made mistakes....they may have
Arrived at an appearance that bears no relationship to them....
They may have picked an ideal appearance based on some childish
Whim, or momentary impulse....some may have gotten half-way
There, and then changed their minds.

He wonders if he too might have made a similar mistake.

They are cool looking, black(will look less dirty), and can be worn with shorts.

Dude.... stay away from that funky euro-trash looking **** and stick with the classic that never goes out of style:

And anyone who thought it was a good idea to make sandals a golf shoe should be shot. The last thing I want to see is someones nasty feet after I shank my drive into the woods......

    I found them at http://www.adidasgolf.com

I have not tried them on yet but they have them at Golf Smith so I need to swing by.

Footjoy are comfortable but I still have all my hair and I am still not a old fogey yet so I am going to ride this young thing out as long as I can.
