It was about mid may last year that the Astros had a record of 15-30. Lance Berkman came back from his injury and we were starting to get healthy. We started having some offense, our pitching was becoming the top in the league, which lead to us winning games and going on to the World Series (even though we lost).

Will this be daja vu all over again?

It possibly could. I'm not saying it will but it cannot get any worse than this. Yao Ming just came back from his toe injury, Sura and Barry should be coming back from their injuries soon. We're finally starting to get healthy again. Did I also mention that are records are almost identical. I'm not saying that just because the astros went to the W.S than the Rockets will do the same. It is not to late to make it to the playoffs. Hey the astros were the wild card team and look how far they made it. All I am saying is that it really cannot get any worse...so for all you bandwagon fans out there you might want to jump back in because it will probably get better.

Seriously, how can anyone compare different sports to each other and attempt to draw a conclusion? Are you guys kidding? Comparing baseball to basketball?

i'm confident that we will get into the playoffs, seeing how we're only like 7-8 games out of the 8th spot.
however, i wouldn't compare our record to the Astros' record - we only 82 games to play - they have 162. that's a big difference. they have more chances to catch up and make some waves.

im happy that the astros went to the world series and all, but if baseball ceased to exist. i wouldn't give a damn. just like hockey missing a year, no one cares.

the only important sports are football and basketball. baseball is corrupt and boring.

baseball is just r****ded. all the players want to play well so they can be on the yankees or sox cause they have the most money.

think about how r****ded baseball is for a second. if basketball were like this, the lakers and the knicks would be in the finals every year if there were no salary cap. sacremento wouldn't even exist in baseball.

yeah i cant beileve that baseball is still as popular as it is from the stupid way it is set up. (not talking about the game itself)

hell between the yankees, braves, and redsox and to some extent the cardinals and astros. just about every year a majority of the playoff spots are already taken. its a joke...

I agree. If I can save the Astros' season, then Yao can save the Rockets' season.

If the Rockets had lost today, their record would have been 15-30. Hmmm.

If they lose the next two, their record will be 16-31 which also sounds familiar.

man some of you guys on this board are a bunch of bandwagon fans. I can understand why you're upset but have some faith. Yeah 15-29 is a really bad record but i'll still be a fan. Its amazing how when the astros went to the world series a bunch of people who don't really care for them are actually rooting for them. It may be good for the city and the team but shouldn't there be some recognition for those people who watched them play day in and day out from start to finish. I see so many comments from "fire gundy" to "swift being a bust"...but you can't really say those things until the whole team is healthy and have some chemistry once they are all back. The one that gets me the most is when people call CD the best manager this summer and now calling him a "joke". I didn't say that since the astros went to the WS than the rockets we'll go to the championship. All I meant was that its a coincidence and that I can see us doing much better now that we have some of our players back.

houston fans are band wagon people. that's just the way the city is. i hate to say it, but its true. look at the oilers. look at the rockets..
people actually going to the games more because we got BARKLEY. its about entertainment and showing business clients a good show. Go to Austin, people supported the Longhorns forever even when they were getting beat down by scrub teams in the Machovic days.
im not saying there aren't any die hard fans. I know i'm one of the dinosaurs in the legendary days of Dream and Maxwell, so I love to come on the board and educate some fair weather fans what HOUSTON ROCKETS basketball is really about. Its the enemy amongst us.
I go to chicago and go to a cubs game, tons of people there.. the cubs suck and i fell asleep. same with a PRESEASON BEARS game, back when they really really sucked. it was freaking cold, people still showed up, final score 6-3.
