I just heard on the Rockets pre-game on the FSN that Stro was laste for practice and JVG has benched him for tonite's game.
Thats fine its not like we have had any injury problems or anything. our rotations pretty much set, its not like they need to have some playing time together.
i guess we will miss his couple turnovers. no to be serious though that sucks. come on stromile your making millions lets get serious now.
How come Bill Worrell didn't know he was late? I guess this was SS not so subtle way of telling JVG he didn't like him putting Hayes in front of him in the lineup.
why do we always end up with overpaid fowards...hopefully he can turn it around because i thought it was a good signing b4 the season started...
its one of those "I dont let you play in this game" JVG games.JVG should change his patterns and play Stro and Head as starters
wizards already have plenty of underachieving big men who are inconsistent and play without passion (brendan haywood, etan thomas, jared jeffries). they aren't looking for another. although i'd hesitate to call stromile a big man--he looks like a 2 guard next to rasheed wallace.
Per Stoforswift "Just trade him if you don't play him...talent doesn't belong on the bench" I agree- we have money invested-play him at least some. It was not good to bench Mo Taylor out of spite-we got nothing for him- not too mature Van Gundy.... __________________
At this point, I would be surprised if we don't deal him by the deadline. I wish they wouldn't though because I don't think his stock could get much lower. Swift is not bright and doesn't seem to get motivated whatsoever, but JVG clearly isn't reaching him. Not expecting JVG to work miracles... it's not like Phil Jackson is lighting a fire under Kwame's ass or anything ... but it doesn't look like Swift is responding to him at all. If they could get something of value, I'd like to see them pull the trigger... but I really hope they don't panic and dump him because it's clear we haven't had a very stable roster this season.
