I don't know if anyone else has been having this problem, but I'm not seeing it happen on any of my friends sites but mine. Literally, 2-3 times a day, my site will be "undergoing temporary maintenance", and that it will be down. Specifically, I get this: This user's profile has been temporarily disabled for special maintenance. The profile will be available again shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience. 1/31/2006 This happens several times a day, for sometimes hours. Is this happening to anyone? It is really starting to piss me off.
MySpace's servers are horrible, and their coding is even worse. Your profile is "under maintenance" and your friend's are not because their profiles are on different servers/databases, you probably have some problem children on your server
I'm getting the same thing right now, me and a friend were messaging each other back and forth and all of a sudden that message, yet it shows her still online /shrug.
You can't really call him a moron at this point, making a site like this and basically getting rich with a few years...great concept and the site is always building and being worked on...It will be a while before it's a finished product but definitly is very buggy.
Yea, I got that last night as I was trying to message you, especially about your *ahem* friend (you know...the one we talked about this afternoon ).
yep... had it for most of yesterday afternoon/evening/night. i was about to sent death threats to tom and his family, but luckily it's been working pretty good today after my profile was "temporarily disabled for special maintenance" for 6-7 ****ing hours yesterday lol most of the time though it's just temp **** but yesterday it was hours.
Why shouldn't I be? If the whole site were down, it would be one thing. But it seems to be "me" specific. Are you saying you wouldn't find this annoying? BTW, been down today for two hours and running...
If you want an addictive response, you must deliver unusual reward and failure inconsistantly. Animals try to make patterns where they do not exist. Myspace delivers the thrill of inconsistancy.
