Watching the last few games, it seems like Head is starting to hit the wall. His shots arent falling with the same consistency even though he still hustles and plays hard. The NBA season can be very long and grueling especially for a rookie but I'm hoping he can climb over it soon. Anybody else notice?

well head hit the rookie wall a little over 2 months ago lol

yeah i'll agree with he still hustles and plays hard.

his inside shot was never that great aside from his 3 pt shooting and when that fell off , so did everything else.

I wonder if he's hit the wall or not. he's hit what seems like impossible shots to me on those buzzer beaters. His shots aren't coming up short too often, they are just missing. oh well, I hope he really continues to mature and learn as a ball player. I would love to see him stay a Rocket for a long time.

I dunno. I think he's been kinda streaky all season.

I heard so much about Luther Head's vertical when we drafted him but....

how come he NEVER DUNKS?? sometime I would see him drive in for an open dunkable shot but he either goes for a reserve layup or a reg layup

    DUNK THE BALL LUTHER!!

...and had he not been chased extremely hard on a break-away by Rasual Butler, he would have had another. :D

Is the Toyota Center in Houston? Watching the past few home games, it seems like there are a lot of Houston fans in there. Even though we tend to see a lot of Mavs fans in there sometimes and they're louder than our own fans ... I'm starting to suspect that the Toyota Center might actually be in the City of Houston. Anybody else notice?

*sorry, I'm in a bad mood now.

The wall has come down on Luther..But he is still a keeper. I hope he is not included in any trades. I am hoping the Rockets can get Lucas back.

He clearly is not playing as well as he was earlier....of course his minutes are really inconsistent too.

I would say yes, he has hit the rookie wall.

Yep. My thoughts exactly. The wall has fallen on Luther and crushed him. He is missing defensive assignments left and right and he can't throw it in the ocean nor dribble the thing more than twice without having to chase it down. The ball looks like it is dragging him around. Ugh!

How are we going to get Lucas back without giving up something? Are we just gonna drop Moochie and bring back Lucas??? For what? Just so we can dish out more salary???

Would anyone want for us to trade him for J.R. Smith right about now?

I don't know about Luther and the rookie wall, I know my head is hitting a wall right now. And it's been hitting it hard ever since the game!

I see it a little differently! I see a young talented basketball player, who has been misused by a coach that couldnt care less about rookies. Head has been burned out by JVG asking him to be something that he isnt. Possibly when Sura comes back Head can recover and go back to playing his role as a spot up three point shooter, playing no more than 20mins a game. He needs a chance to develop, so far JVG has just overused him. Y

I agree that his role has been a more than what should be expected of him as a rookie. However with the injuries leading to the complete lack of depth in the backcourt, I don't think JVG has had much of a choice on how to play him.

Is that a serious question?! JR Smith will be a star one day.

Yep, there are speculations that he could be available. I would trade Stro (a bust so far) for him in a second.

I just hope Luther is practicing hard and becoming the best player he can be. He looks like he will be a perimeter shooter and not a dribble penetration type of SG and perimeter shooters are always going to have periods where they struggle. I saw a piece on Ray Allen and how he practices and I think every perimeter shooter should adopt a routine like Ray Allen, Allen has a set routine where he shoots x amount of shots from many points on the floor and he doesn't move from point a to point b until he makes a certain amount of shots from point a.
