    Early leads in the first quarter and comeback attempts in the fourth.

    And chickens, too.

    We're nearing the point where the team will probably need to break the Lakers' record of having won the most games in a row just to have a chance at the playoffs.

    New Orleans is the 8th seed right now at 21-22. 44 wins is probably going to get that last spot...maybe 45. That leaves us with 9 losses, if I remember correctly.

    Of course your point it that we are fading fast...and you are right. But this looks like one of the better years compared to the last few in the West that a team could sneak into the playoffs.

    Can we please make a trade! I am so upset at the way the season has gone. I just want for this team to do well and make the playoffs. I will hate to start thinking about next season come the end of April. It will be hell waiting on the draft, summer league, and pre-season for another season to begin again. :mad:

    Absolutely. I want JVG out of here. He is just too rigid.

    Yall do know we are 0-9 in our own division right? Yall do know we are last in the West again right?

    That's unacceptable.

    Our February schedule:

    Bucks
    Sonics
    @Knicks
    @76ers
    Lakers
    Jazz
    Knicks
    @Clippers
    @Suns
    Clippers
    Warriors
    @Magic
    Suns

    New Orleans' February scheduele:

    Bulls
    Lakers
    @Nets
    Sonics
    Knicks
    @Timberwolves
    Wizards
    Trail Blazers
    @Pacers
    Jazz
    @Jazz
    @Trail Blazers
    @Sonics

    --

    Our schedule seems fairly easy if Yao gets back into game shape and T-Mac starts rolling again. If we go 9-4 or 10-3 throughout February, we've got a great shot at stealing the 8th spot.

    New Orleans' schedule is basically their easy part of the season, but hopefully the only wins they get are against the Trail Blazers and the Knicks.

    If they go 5-9, it will leave them at 26-31. If we end up going 9-4, our record will be 24-33, leaving plenty of time to make the push for the 8th seed and with less pressure.

    Of course this all depends on how the other low level West teams are playing and pending any other injuries.

    how will Stro progress if he plays only 8 and 14 minutes.I really don't see much fault in the way he plays.Yes, he do make turnovers,lacks rebound ability but we need an inside scorer.I think it's better to miss inside points than outside shot so at least youcan get fouled.Its really hard to contribute in such limited minutes.he'll flourish in Phoenix,Utah or Nets bec he'll be given the ball more and with more defined plays.If he is traded to another team, we'll be wishing we should not have traded him.Many will disagree wid me but they need to trust him more.We only see the negative in him.I think he is trying very hard.We praise Hayes and Baxter for their effort but they to make mistakes.During the games when Stro played well,he hustled better probably because he feels energized that he is contributing.Some here in this forum says he can't guard the post but how do you rate Hayes,Baxter and Howard defense.Are their defenses better than Stro?If Stro is a knuclehead, he would have been traded weeks ago.I think he is a good guy who doesnt complain much.I hope Stro bears with JVG and vice versa.JVG should be patient and encourage him more even if he make mistakes.Alston is ok.You can see he passes well.If you take away Stro,we will be looking for another athletic power forward or do we need it?Are we going to settle with Hayes,Baxter and Howard or do we want more?We will be able to acquire a guard in the offseason because of our expiring contracts or in the draft dont worry!A big factor is JVG is pressured right now.I think he becomes impatient during losses.I have given up the play of Rockets right now until JVG finds a way To let Stro play more minutes with trust!Bow!

    Well I'm tired of this. It's time for a change and it's obvious the changes have to be as widespread as the problem.

    Half the roster must go. Most'll be gone if the offseason anyways so let's try to get something for them. There's no reason why a roster without Tmac should go 0 and infinity against even the worst teams. Get a real mentor for Yao and a head coach that knows some offensive sets. The lakers have no talent outside of Kobe and can still fill up the scoreboard consistently with him on the bench. Anyone notice how Hubie Brown couldn't stop gushing over the rockets during the Heat game? How's about someone in the Rockets FO try and lull him out of retirement? It'd be nice to see some good basketball again.

    If you need the parts to be perfect in order for the system to work, then it is a very fragile system. I start to lose faith in JVG. Playoff or not, if Rockets don't click by the end of this season (I think it won't), then JVG has to leave.

    EDIT: Yao should have a long talk with JVG like Tmac did last season. Yao should not be forced to go deep, he used to have a pretty good mid-range shooting. He is not used properly. Well, the whole offense is not designed properly.
