Ming's return should make a huge difference (no pun intended). He commands double or triple teams, that leaves two players to guard TMac. Let's see, that leaves three of our players unguarded! That may still not be enough, but I like our odds. Memphis is a tough first test for Ming. If the Rockets win there, then a flood of optimism may engulf us all. :)

the team only gets so many shots in a game. if a player is not shooting well, it makes no sense to take half of them whether that player is a superstar or not.

This game could have been won if Stro was to have Shown up. I can't believe this guy. I hope the Rockets trade him and Moochie for RJ IF the Nets are still wanting Stro lets make the move.

That's what kills me about him the most, he's the most inconsistent player with skills I have ever seen; he plays one game good and another in which he is giving Rybo a run for his money.

The guy only played 8 minutes. The guy can't do anything if he doesn't get any minutes. Not sure why JVG didn't play him more. Baxter and Hayes played pretty well but it wasn't like Juwan was lighting the world on fire.

Show up? he played 8 minutes. How about JVG giving him a longer leash? Juwan howard can blow defensive assignment after defensive assignment and still find himself in the game. He has no redeeming qualities. At least Strocious no matter how dumb and inconsistent has some ability in there that needs to be tapped and yanking him after a minute of action is no way to go about doing that. Yes he missed a Mac pass because he was too anxious to go to the rim, but Juwan fumbles them all the time. He's been on losers for a reason. The Magic had like 12 straight years of .500 or above basketball and he was there one year and they became the worse team in the league. You can just watch how he plays and see that his game isn't suited for winning basketball from your starting power forward. Your four can't be soft and only get his points on wide open jumpers (and only knock 'em down half the time I might add, should be closer to 70% when you're that open) and not be able to finish inside.

I think I dislike him even more because he's so professional and has a good attitude. If he didn't he would have been off the team by now and that's very upsetting to think about.

The problem was that during the limited minutes Stro was on the floor. He was blowing defensive assignments and looked lost as usual out there.

JVG seems to give him a short lease. He doesn't generally bring energy to the floor, doesn't rebound that well, or defend that well. These are things that JVG values and well, if Stro doesn't show them when he is on the court, he doesn't play.

I'm not sure that Stro will get much of a chance any more as Hayes and Baxter seem to have passed him on the depth chart. I wonder if we will see a Stro trade some time this season. If NJ had something better than Marc Jackson to offer, I think he would be gone.
