http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfgang_Amadeus_Mozart Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born today, January 27 in Salzburg (now part of Austria) in 1756... Happy Birthday, Wolfie. Check out www.google.com 's illustration. Read up on more www.npr.org/ . I can't believe Houston's PBS doesn't have anything planned . What's up on that, arkoe? I am playing the Marriage of Figaro ALL day, biznatches.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=107696 i recommend the Solti recording, w/ Ramey, Thom Allen, Te Kannawa, et al, and the last 20 minutes of act 2, from Figaro's re-entry...
Yeah - he died really young. When he was in his 20's he had a hard time finding an audience for his classical music because of the large popularity of 'disco'. One of his operas was originally titled "The Groovy Magic Disco Flute" but his classical audience didn't like the hybrid, so he had to rename it to "The Magic Flute" and remove the funky bass rhythm.
Dang, how did I miss that? I am on here 24/7. Here's a listing of ALL-MOZART stations on Live365 that will play with your default .pls player (WinAmp for me). Enjoy, suckas.
He was the first punk ever to set foot on this earth. He was a genius from the day of his birth. He could play the piano like a ring and a bell And ev'rybody screamed: Come on, rock me Amadeus. He was a superstar, he was dynamite and whatever he did (it) Seemed to be alright. And he drank (and) he cursed and he fooled around But when the women would shout: Rock me Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus, Oh oh oh Amadeus.
I didn't know I shared one with him either. Happy late birthday arkoe. Mozart will get what is coming to him for stealing our thunder, that is a guarantee.
