Similar to the "That Guy Thread".

List the actors who you feel are underappreciated.

My favorite underappreciated actor is Sean Nelson. I first saw him in one of my favorite movies, "Fresh". The guy was also in one of the beast miniseries on TV, HBO's "The Corner". Also played the younger version of Omar Epps' character in one of the more underrated movies, "The Wood".

He is a lot older now, but I couldnt find a more recent pic

Peja's twin is a very good actor and makes really good films ("Black Hawk Down", "Troy", "Munich"). "The Hulk" kind of sucked but it's all good.

Sanaa Lathan is also a very good actress who I don't think gets the recognition she should. She was in "love and Basketball", "Best Man", "out of time", "Brown Sugar".

    Dwight Yoakam (amazing in Slingblade)
Derek Luke (great in Antwone Fisher)
Bill Murray (surprised me with his dramatic roles)

    William Shatner

We think about the roles he's played and the cheesy acting that he's done.... his role as a cheesy copy in TJ Hooker...

But let's face it - he's a legend. He spent years building a sci-fi character and series into an empire. Then he left that genre entirely to do a cop show. After spending years playing various bit roles in movies, he's back on the small screen in yet another genre as he stars on the lawyer drama Boston Legal.

After the original Star Trek was cancelled, his first wife, and mother of their three daughters, left him and took almost all of their money. He lived in a truck bed camper until he was able to find acting bit parts here and there to bring in revenue. He married again later, but divorced after 21 years. In his third marriage he seemed to have finally found happiness. But one day in 1997, his wife died in an accidental drowning in their swimming pool. Shatner was devastated, but has moved on with his life. When he's not acting, he breeds and shows American Saddlebreds and Quarter Horses. And enjoys spending time with his three daughters, their families, and his two grandchildren.

Several years ago I would have said Don Cheadle but he is finally starting to get the recognition he deserves.

So for now, I'll say William Sadler.
