what pick would they have received? would it have been #2 automatically, or (due to tiebreakers, conference record, etc., etc.) would they have received a different pick? just curious.

Rocket Fan is right...2nd. With 3 teams tied at 3-13, tiebreaker would result in:

    1. Saints at 3-13 with opponents winning % of .523
    2. Texans 3-13 with opp % of .531
    3. Niners 3-13 with opp % of .546

The Texans would still get Young or Bush, but might not have had the choice of which one unless the Saints really are in love with Leinart above everyone else.

The real loser is Frisco. They go from 3rd to 6th or 7th, depending on their coin flip with the Raiders. Way to go Niners, how long did the euphoria of winning that game last? A whole evening perhaps? As you sit there now dreaming of Bush, Ferguson, Young, Leinart, or trading down for more help, now you realize what Texans fans were saying for weeks:

There is NOTHING to be gained by winning late in a losing season! Pride be damned, it's all about acquiring as much talent as possible for the next go round. Yeah, that pride was real important, wasn't it?

We would have been 2nd. The Jets beat the Bills on the last Sunday to knock themselves to 4 wins.

If we had beaten Frisco then we wouldn't be having this whole argument about Young vs Bush. We would be getting Bush because the Saints would take Vince Young in a heartbeat.

So true. When you consider that they might not take him at 2 even if he's available, it's perfectly reasonable to assume that if they had the first pick they would DEFINTELY take him.

Actually i think we would go down to 3rd because we have the tie breaker against 49ers. We beat them so they automatically move to second before the strenght of schedule comes into play.
