I thought they did have some of the same characters. Lisa Bonet was in both as Denise Huxtable. She was only there for one season but I would still say it's a spin off. I think both Clair and Dr. Cliff Huxtable made some appearances in it too. Edit: Never mind I'm dumb and didn't read the thread carefully.
I don't think Wings was a spinoff of Cheers. They had one episode where Frasier Crane and Lillith appeared on Wings, but that doesn't make it a spinoff. That's just a crossover.
BTW, does anyone remember the short lived sitcom "Second Chance" that debuted Matt Perry? He was such an ass in that show. And he had a friend named "Chaz". The premise of the show was that a 35 yr. old got to go back 15 years and tell his younger self how he screwed up.
Yes I remember that show actually. He went back with an anegl. The guy who played CHaz played Samantha's cousin "Al" from Who's the Boss. He used to hit on Samantha's friend, who now plays the wife on King of Queens. His mom was the Italian lady who was related to Tony with the big poofy hair.
OK, do you also remember Matt Perry playing Tracey Golds love interest on "Growing Pains?" He was the one who died in the Drunk Driving incident on one of the "very special" Growing Pains. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . .. . .. . . .. . .. . .. Hey guys, this is is "Jim". You may have seen me as Fatty FatBastard, or even fatty fat fat. But I'm here tonight to talk about "drinking and driving." I say don't do it. Believe me; I don't think, by and large that you're going to kill somebody. But what I do know is that you're going to get an ass-reaming in ANY job search you do. So, IMO (unless laws get changed) DON'T DO IT! (If only I were Matress Mac)
Wow I dont remember that at all. I do remember that Growing Pains would get serious every once in a while. I remember they had an episode which they ended with atribute to the guy who played Boner
The one that always blew me away was John Laroquette's (Dan Fielding on Night Court) guest appearance on Sanford & Son. I've watched every episode of Sanford & Son probably 5 times and I never noticed that was him in that episode. I know ... blew you away with that, too, huh? He also appeared on Three's Company.
The main reason I remember him was because he always played "the smart-ass". So when "Friends" originally aired, I was going for him. He was, not to sound gay, but "my "guy" in Hollywood. I'm not going to say he changed, but I've met enough to say he did. (and not in a good way.)+
I also remember Cliff and Norm visiting as well. But I think technically you're probably right about the crossover part.
did he really die or something? I remember how it was kinda weird that they did a tribute to him at the end of a show where his charcter left for college or something.
