cool thanks for the heads up.

Clydes on as well as Dennis Lindsey.

I think the Rockets contacted 610am for damage control.
Mark and Rich are in 5th gear of C.Y.A. mode blaming the season entirely on injuries.

It sounds like nothing is going to be done. :(

    Hello Lottery here we come!!!

That seems to be the tenor of their comments. Nothing new. They are just puppets for whatever club is affiliated with the station. They were trying to spin Lopez as a nut for his rather gentle critique today. 610 = spin clowns.

I wonder what Charlie is saying.

I think they are trying to act lotttery bound to entice Indiana to take our pick and a player combination in exchange for Artest. If so, Indiana is going to hold out until the deadline to ensure they have the best possible chance at a lottery selection with that unprotected pick. Then Indy can use that as a bargaining chip with Golden State and kinda force Golden State's hand with Diogu.

There is too much dead calm. Something is going on. Les, CD, and JVG just aren't gonna let this season go. They are working on something.

If everyone returned in full health today they would still need 33 more Ws with 'only' 45 to go. Likely to add The Rocket to the Rox for an Astro-like Rocket run?

Trade? Only if it improves NEXT year's squad. Forget this year except to develop Head et al.

And I am an optimist... :(

Why didn't Clyde come on? I guess he didn't feel like showing up like he didn't show up at UH practices when he was head coach.

    Do we need Ron Artest?

It'd be great to get him, unless we have to give up too much.

Why not offer an expiring contract and our 1st rounder (conditional) for Gerald Wallace? The guy gets 2 blocks and 2 steals a game and can really get out on the break, and has a decent contract.

If you made it worth Charlotte's while, they might bite, and then they could trade their draft picks for a(n All-) Star (they can't play it cheap forever).

TMac, Yao, Stro, Gerald, Rafer, Juwan, and Luther would not be bad to build on, would it?

P.S. I agree with the 610 dudes about Lopez's article. You could not have predicted the injuries we've had (Yao, TMac, Rafer, Anderson [which I think is more of an "injury" than an injury], Swift, etc).

Then we wouldn't need to parade Worrell and company across the airwaves to apologize for the season.

i agree. develop the young guys, and rest the vets. that way everyone everyone will be able to produce next season. a high first and second round pick and the MLE should round out a nice deep roster for us.

no reason to scramble for band-aids this season.

    I definitely care.

It was great to hear the voices of people involved sound sad. That means that we care. I'm sure there are teams out there with announcers and GM's, etc. that just blow smoke around. Bill said straight up that it was a tough season to announce, but he was still happy to be a part of basketball. He was honest in his interview about this bad season and that's all I can ask for. Same for Dennis Lindsey. There was a certain sadness in his voice. I think that stems from wanting to be the best out there and this is no where close. I'm happy to see that we don't want to turn into the NBA's perenial losers.

Let's get healthy and see what we have.

Gerald Wallace is nothing but a slightly smaller version of Stromile Swift. He can't dribble, he can't shoot, and his basketball IQ is low. The only thing he can do is run and jump. That doesn't translate to Van Gundy's system. Gag a maggot.

If we're gonna go after somebody besides Artest, we need to go after Darius Miles.

rich and mark brought up great points today. they're not spinning anything. whether or not we would have been contenders without these injuries is up for debate but the one and only reason the rockets have the record they do is because of bad freaking luck. some people in this forum are ridiculous in their expectations for a team that doesn't have anything right now.
